Hey friend-o,

not trying to bust your balls really, but just fyi this is common knowledge to probably 99.75% of MMJ songs.  It's an officially released EP...

Anywho, you're right about Sooner; the version from this album is one of my favorite MMJ songs of all times.

Also, it wasn't recorded in Braintree, Mass. Seems like I read that those tracks were taken from a couple of different Texas shows.

Is there even such a thing as Braintree, Mass?

Yeah, it's great. The highlight of the EP in my opinion. Also, I never realized that the second word was acoustic backwards. Good to know.

It's only the original home of John Adams, John Hancock, John Q. Adams and the birthplace of Dunkin Donuts!!!

Really no reason to go there but to go to a huge cheesy mall...

I don't know where they would've played in "The Tree"

Ha!

Somebody with a better memory than I could probably tell you the dates of the TX shows, but I can't remember them.

I remember Jim saying that 'Z' is a triangle or a 3 in disguise...sometime around the release, when asked about the title. Anyone remember anything like that?

I lived in Braintree, MA for a year.  I still take the train through Braintree, MA to get to work.  It's definitely still there.

I think you are thinking of the fact that Quincy, MA split from Braintree.  In history books you'll see that John Quincy Adams was born in Braintree, but in an area that became the city of Quincy.

Alright, I feel like a dork now.

I'm sure you're right, and definitely not a dork (well, perhaps you are but I can't make that call based on your above post--you seem like a good 'un to me).  Thanks for the clarificaton :)

I happen to live in Braintree, Massachusetts, so naturally this thread caught my eye. Braintree, MA is basically a suburb of Boston, and yes we have a big mall - and not much else of note. It's next to Quincy, MA - 'City of Presidents' (John Quincy Adams birthplace).
I'm quite certain MMJ have never played here. :) That would be nice though!!
