I always wanted to put together a little fan club newsletter for Jacket fans... I even designed a PDF that could be downloaded. 5 or 6 pages of articles and lots of pretty pictures and fun facts and stuff. Links to downloads, etc. It'd be cool.
Chapter Forty Eight
The phone rang, and it was Tommy. He had just bought Vince Neil's house in LA and was inviting everyone out for a grand ol time. Patrick was flying his 747 into town to pick everyone up and take them out there. Since I wasn't due on the set of The O.C. until the following week, I thought I'd clear my usual calendar of events (yoga, hackey sack, bong hits, monster truck rallies) and go. Besides, since I got my divorce from Paris Hilton and starting seeing Cher, it just seemed like I needed to get out more. John McCain and a hippopotamus herder were stopping by after brunch for some tea and I needed to call and reschedule Kofi Annan and flip his time with Dennis Leary.
Suddenly, the doorbell rang and the wall turned into worms. My geopolitical spouts of turnips were gardening themselves into hedgehogs. The carpet under my very feet felt like spindles of spider legs, tickling like no other sensation I'd ever felt...

MMJ has a pretty interesting history, and there's always some little tidbit of news that slips by unnoticed (just think of all the things LaurieBlue has posted for us!). I think a little newsletter would be awesome to story some of that history, as well as pry into the future.
The big push behind my newsletter idea was just to keep people informed and interested. The website does that awesomely (the site has gotten better and better), but I think a serialized newsletter that was sort of targeted to the Viking Horde audience would be quite awesometastic.
Interviews (someone could have Brucie's people call my people for a sit down, right?), reviews of recent shows, fan art, song tabs, articles and stuff.
I'm not the right person to get something like that moving and reaching it's deadlines... but I would hound someone to let me contribute as much as I could fathom.
