SCOPE Productions is offering a 50 percent refund to those who bought tickets to the Oct. 7 My Morning Jacket concert that was cut short after the band's singer was injured in fall from the stage.
A $17 refund will be provided in exchange for ticket stubs at the University Box Office, located on the main floor of the Iowa Memorial Union, regardless of where the ticket was purchased.
Ticket stubs can also be mailed to the University Box Office, 138 Iowa Memorial Union, Iowa City, IA 52242. Include you complete name, address and a phone number.
If you would like the refund put back on your credit card, include your credit card number and expiration date. If you do not provide this information, a check will be sent in two to three weeks, according to SCOPE's web site.
The Louisville rock band was forced to cancel several shows, including a fall European tour, after singer/guitarist Jim James suffered major torso injuries when he stepped off the stage during the band's Oct. 7 performance at the UI Recreation Building.
"It has been one of the hardest and strangest times of my life, but your kind words and support have really meant a lot to me and I can feel their healing power," James wrote in an e-mail message to fans last week. "I have been just letting time do its thing, slowly but surely as the old adage says, and hopefully I'll be back to normal soon."
