I've been trying to figure out the seating plan for the NYE show. If I have section 9 seats, am I restricted to that section, or is the entire floor open?

you will have a seat in that section. only the front half is GA...

Okay, I just want to make sure... My tickets say:

GEN ADM STANDING
Section/Aisle: GA
Row/Box: GA9
Seat: 53

If it is actually GA, why the seat numbers?

I'm not going to the show but most of the time when GA tickets have seat numbers it's just a counting method to know how many tickets are sold and so there aren't duplicate GA tickets.
