wow great lineup! ($$ tix!)
Playing with Paul McCartney!
Wow! :D
Interesting foundation...
I wanna go! Why do I live so far away!?!?
Jim James, Eddie Vedder and Ben Harper. Sad I can't make it. Though if I did go, I'd have to leave before Sheryl Crowe, Ringo Starr and Paul McCartney. It'd definitely be worth it regardless.
Awesome! Tapers? Ha! Not.
I love this....
General Admission Tickets, $79.50 – $504.50*
* Ticket price includes $4.50 per ticket facility fee.
Oh, phew thank heavens the $4.50 is included in the $504.50!
Wow. That is a great lineup. And you know there's gonna be some Beatles' tunes played. :)
QuoteI wanna go! Why do I live so far away!?!?
I ask myself the same thing... :(
I bet ticketbastard will have some fun with this one.
Wow!! I'm going to 7-11 to get some lottery tickets as we speak..

If you left you would miss the fake Beatles with fake Yoko Ono :)
i wish i could afford to go to this. and it's right before my birthday, too.
(whine)
oh, david lynch! first you give me blue velvet, twin peaks, and mulholland drive... and now you give me a concert with paul mccartney AND jim james? you are so awesome.
:-*
That is pretty incredible. My mom would love to go for the Beatles, as would I. It will probably be a great show.

OMG, I could just die and go to heaven after seeing Paul and JJ together!!! And Ben Harper, get the smelling salts, I'm having the vapors!
It's not worth 500 bucks to go see JJ play for 20 minutes or so. I couldn't care less about McCartney and Ringo. Eddie Vedder might be entertaining, but he would probably just play new stuff.

I would happily watch Eddie Vedder sit there with an ABBA song book and play every song in it because somehow, he'd make it great. He could do every song ever done by ABBA, John Denver and N'Sync all in one show and I'd never want to leave. So, in short, who cares what he's playing? It's Eddie fucking Vedder.
I'm tempted to get the $79.50 tickets. That's not too ridiculously exorbitant.

I would love to see Eddie sing some ABBA.
Take a chance, take a chance, take a ch-ch-chance-chance.
Doh! If I wasn't in the middle of a massive project at work that is due 4/15 I'd soooo be getting tix and getting on a plane to NYC! Damn work keeps getting in the way of my good time!
Yim Yames, Eddie and Ben Harper. Oh my!
Was anyone able to get tix's for this..i just tried at 11am..and nothing...but stubhub.com has 235 tix for sale...cheapest being 322.00
I HATE TICKETMASTER...it's such a joke....
lady -
got one ticket but for 504$ - claimed it was only ticket left. - refunded it before it went thru. was that a huge mistake??? really don't think i'd enjoy it as much as i did mmj.
anybody ever see paul horn live?
ticketbastard said the presale was yesterday - how where cos i asked?
enough to get cheesed off with entire racket.

You can watch this in two half hour parts streaming anytime.
There is a nice little interview with Jim about 10 minutes or so into the first part.
Sounds like they are going to make a documentary including some of the performances in the near future.
This is great idea I think. I hope we can implement this in my kids school. Any teachers out there should watch the whole thing. I'm curious what your thoughts are on the ideas.
any reports from the show what did jim play
Jim dueted with Donovan on Hurdy Gurdy Man and Wear Your Love Like Heaven

more reasons to be proud of JJ :)
Nice! I love Jim's cover of Wear Your Love Like Heaven. And Hurdy Gurdy Man! I have to hear that!
I love the Butthole Surfers version of Hurdy Gurdy Man.
I can't even imagine how Jim contributed on this song. ;D

I'm SO thrilled for Jim...
Jim James was a Beatle!
My Morning Jacket singer performed with Paul, Ringo
"His mind was blown again last Saturday at New York's Radio City Music Hall, when James performed "I Saw Her Standing There" with Paul and Ringo — the Paul and Ringo — at a benefit concert. For a few precious minutes, James was essentially an honorary Beatle."
