United Palace theater is a great place to a show. I saw Neil Young there in December of 07 (epic show).
And I really liked the place. Chill security and seemingly no curfew. Great sound as well.
I have yet to be in the newly revamped Beacon.

hey folks,

haven't checked in in a while, but i'm living out in seattle now.  i'm excited to see that there is a paramount show listed for october, however, i'll be out of town for the next two weeks, leaving on the 27th, and i won't have access to a computer when tickets go on sale.  do you guys think tickets will be sold out when i get back on august 9th?  if any wonderful person wants to volunteer to pick me up an extra, i'll pay you back in full plus a beer or two at the show.

thanks,
mark

i'm getting tix for the friday night UPC show because i've never been there. i'm not a fan of the beacon theater and i think it's definitely not a venue where every seat is a good seat plus the people who work there are nazis, too. even during the Levon show, they wouldn't let people in the aisles to swing dance to ophelia!! the UPC might be the same way, but i need an excuse to head up there :-)

Go to "Your Orders" in the "My Ticketmaster" tab and it will tell you where your seats are located.  I got Orchestra row D, but in the far right section.

For people doing other pre-sales, are you able to see where the seats are prior to purchase?  For Chicago, it only said the price of the ticket and I did not find out the location until after the purchase.  Still glad I got my tickets.

EMOTIONAL ROLLERCOASTER IS RIGHT!! I basically did a blind buy for the Chicago show at 10am. The first tickets I pulled up had no seating information or anything and then there was an error. So I had to go through the process again and ended up with another BLIND BUY. I found out through email that my tickets are in row AA (still trying to figure out where exactly that is). A little while later I was like 'fuck it' and searched for a single ticket to see what it would pull up... PIT AAA!  :) Christmas in July! Made my day! See you all in Chicago!!!!

I'm a little confused.  What happened to the Boston show? No presale? There's nothing on LiveNation about a presale.

I tried SOOOOOOOO hard to get tickets to see Ed there last year and I was a ten club member for a long time and that didn't even help.  Scalpers wanted way to much for tickets ( bastards ) and I just couldn't justify the cash.

Maybe some day I'll get to see Ed and Yim collaborate together for some shows of them doing solo stuff.  I can still dream..right ?

I'm most likely going to have an extra for the Halloween show...so keep that in mind if you still need a ticket. I'm in LOGE 1 row b seats 3 & 4 (i think) and I'm a good neighbor! I'd hate to be out the $$$. I gave my friend too much credit thinking he'd be down.  :(

I tried to get online to the Ticket Philadelphia website for the sale at 10:00 am. They didn't have the option to buy online and I couldn't take a break yet to call from work. I called at about 10:45 and ended up with Row O on the floor. Then my friend texted me at around 3:00 and said the online buying was up on the website. I got on and they didn't have better seats.

Sorry for the long-winded story but I always get messed up with pre-sale tickets. I'm glad to hear some people did well! I am going to see what the public sale offers on Friday and if I can get something better (doubtful) I will offer up my spare PHILLY tickets here first.

Who else is ready for some solo Jim? WOO!!

There is Side Bar right around the corner from the venue...cheap eats and drinks....or the Beantown Pub...you'll see most people going to the show at these places.

So I just got back to my crib and checked it out, and I could get 2 tickets for DD, but it said limited view on the checkout screen (but not on the actual seating chart). If its the floor (and that close), how could it possibly be limited view?!  :-?

And then I tried to see where I could get 1 ticket, and it was all the way back in Row R. How would getting only 1 ticket be further away than the closest pair?

Im totally confused.  ;D

No chance...they've already announced YYYs as the replacement that day.  I believe there's still an open slot that was either previously open or became open with Lily Allen's cancellation, though.  One of those has been filled with Raphael Saadiq, but the other's still open as far as I'm aware.

I use an ultralite wheelchair due to a neurological condition. I mention this because I usually have to keep my mouth firmly shut when people talk about struggling to get good seats at concerts because, in all honestly, they treat me like a king at concerts.
I saw OCMS and Gillian and Felice Bros at the Electric Factory and they put me in the VIP area, as well as at the Flaming Lips show.
I got Parq Circ Sec D Row Y. I hope it's a good spot, but seriously anywhere where I can hear YY AND M Ward is maybe the best place in the world.

anybody going to the seattle show?  i'm about to buy a ticket, but none of my friends want to go, as none are huge fans and the tickets are a bit pricey.

i'm thinking of flying solo. none of the seats online are too great, so if anybody has an extra they are looking to unload, or needs a showgoing pal, let me know.  otherwise, i'll just pick up a single in the next couple of days.

by the way, this is my first year living in seattle and there is so much good music coming through this fall.  on the calendar i have pearl jam, deer tick, frightened rabbit, great lake swimmers, crooked still, jason isbell, dinosaur jr., chris smither, bobby bare jr., assembly of dust, MOF, karl denson, and built to spill.  i obviously can't afford to go to most of those, but i do have tickets for built to spill, who i've never seen before.  excited about that and MOF.

take it easy.

I just left Philly. I stand by my statement that if PA wasn't responsible for a wealth of beer in this nation, we'd have no use for it. I'm not sure what venue the Philly show is, but as far as medium/larger venues go, I avoid Electric Factory because they act like they're babysitting you, but the Tower Theater has had some of the best shows I've ever attended.

If you like beer, make sure you head over to that bar behind the Courthouse as it's one of, if not the oldest running tavern in the US. Also, Monks' cafe is decent but can be touristy, and Good Dog Bar is also well, good.

They said in a recent interview it will be a lot like the original tour, they'll do some solo stuff, some duets, and some playing all together.  My guess is they'll spend more time together and less individually this go 'round since they have a full album together now, but that's just a guess.

Yeah, there's absolutely no way they go all the way to Stockholm for a show, then to Austin the next day, and then back to Berlin for a show the day after that.  The fact that this hasn't been posted on the MoF site leads me to believe that Stubb's is posting the incorrect date for the show.  Actually, it's probably C3 that screwed up..... I can definitely believe that.  And if the dates are actually correct, I'd like to go ahead and let the guys in MoF know that I will gladly take over as their tour manager when they immediately fire their current one.

I'm going tonight in Vancouver

I'll do my absolute best at a setlist.
I don't know Connor's stuff too well but I should be good to go for all the MoF, M Ward and MMJ songs.

Can't wait.  Only thing that sucks is that I had 3rd row centre seats but then the venue got changed to a new one that is GA.  It's a wicked venue but was pretty excited for 3rd row.  Oh well I'll ride the rails instead!
