Post by: CousinEddie on Jan 30, 2010, 01:08 PM
I want to have the best seats I can possibly have for bham, nash, and hotlanta. How tough do you guys think its gonna be? Anybody have presale info they'd like to share?

Am I right?  It looks like tickets for B'ham, N'ville, and Atlanta are all through Ticketmaster.  I checked Live Nation,  because the TM site said there would be a Live Nation presale for the Atlanta show on 2/3.  I'm trying to figure out where to look for tickets on Wednesday, but the Live nation website shows no info about any of the shows on this tour.

I just went to check eBay for the latest listing for Omnichords and strolled over to see what's up with tickets.  I almost puked!  Its tragic that these companies can buy great seats and turn them around at nearly 4 times the face value.  What a crime!

I just checked ebay and my blood is boiling. Your right it is a crime. Those people should be shot. Taking advantage of peoples passion for music. I wont be able to get tix to any shows till next thursday and i know all the good seats will be eaten up by these evil people. If anyone knows a way to take action against them i'm all ears. I hope they get good seats in hell >:(

greedy motherfuckers!  please excuse my language but scalpers make my blood boil too.  grrrr!  >:(

supply and demand.  if people say "no thanks" to the high prices, the prices will come down.  but that's a big "if" as there are typically always enough people willing to splash the cash.

on an optimistic note: i've seen a few people posting on this site that if they have tix they can't use they'll sell @ face value.  so i'd check back here 1st.

i spent $72 a pop for 4 GA Pit tickets in Cary.....they were originally $35. Obviously it's worth it...but nonetheless scalpers are a crime to all of our music worlds.

Buying tickets off scalpers this far before a show is playing exactly into their hands.

I've always had good luck with craigslist if you can't buy tickets when they go on sale to the public.  I've never once paid more than face value and have even got them cheaper than face a time or two.  Just a suggestion

That's too bad man.  I'm sure there will be plenty of PIT tix available at the general sale tomorrow.

So you bought off of scalpers just after the PITs were gone in the presale?

Why didn't you wait until the general public sale started to check for pit tickets? My experience has been that they usually save some tickets.

Presales are generally only 10% of the venue.

So...yeah dude.

Ok...I just posted this in the Columbus thread, but if I can't buy tix until next Friday, think I'll be ok?!  I want to go to Columbus and Nashville.  I may be able to borrow some money if there won't be any left by next Friday... :-/
