The upcoming 2010 tour has inspired me to start posting my 2008 videos. I was up front for 4 great shows. Here's the first from Radio City Music Hall, my former stomping grounds. I'll see you in the Pit at Merriweather, my current stomping grounds. Can't wait.

wow, I wasn't expecting the sound to be so good! can't wait to see the rest!
Here are a couple from the DAR Constitution Hall show:

I was surprised at the sound quality myself as this was taken with a small (but pretty high-end) Canon point and shoot. Make sure you have the sub-woofer on for War Begun!
BTW this is the first time I have posted anything to YouTube so if you guys see anything funky or have suggestions on posting, let me know.
On to Philly, Festival Pier, on Fri, Sept. 5.
Not all heat index as the remnants of a hurricane stirred things up and sent big drops flying toward the end.
Enjoy.

You must have been next to me all summer. I was in the front row for DC, Philly, and Louisville.

I shot mostly in wide angle and tried to pan the crowd once in a while so hopefully I caught some of the hardcore forum denizens in their element. Would have liked to see MMJ in Louisville but that wasn't happening. One more show to go.
Here's the first installment of the New Year's Eve show. They played a great Dondante but it is over 13 min and YouTube says their limit is 10 min so not sure what to do with that.

Is anybody looking at these?
Should I bother posting any more?
I have your channel bookmarked for a special (read: lonely) night ;)

ALady looks a little unhappy to be watching What a Wonderful Man in the NYE show ;D
Here are the final two from NYE that take us into the wee hours of 2009. The first is Sam Cooke's Bring It On Home To Me and the final one is One Big Holiday, of course, followed by a feeble attempt at Auld Lang Syne.
When OBH started, everyone, band and fans included, just drained the tank, knowing that the night was about to end. For those in the pit, I think it was combination of elation and exhaustion after jumping up and down for over five hours.
That's all folks. Hope you enjoyed the videos!

PS - Actually, among the ones on the cutting room floor is a great 13+ min Dondante that I would like to post but YouTube has a 10 min limit so if anyone wants to see that one and knows where I could post, let me know.

What's the file size? If you don't mind "giving" it away, you could upload it to something like Megaupload. I use it for tons of files, for folks here on the forum and for my students to access schoolwork. Its free and I recently uploaded a 1.8 GB file (it took over an hour, though). Just a thought.
By the way, thanks so much for posting these. I didn't get to 'em until last night, but loved it. I am very pumped for April, more so after seeing your vids. I'm sure I speak for everyone when I say "we appreciate your efforts!"
Haha, I'm in a bunch of your videos along with GivenToFly, and we'll be in the pit again at Meriweather. Looking forward to the back of my head being posted on youtube again ;D
These video's are amazing. I've already put up the links on facebook to them. Best camera work outside of Okonokos.

Bahahaha! I look all "too cool for school" in that shot. ;D
Hey, I think I remember you, camera guy... :)

File size of Dondante is about 1.3 GB. I'll get it up (so to speak) one way or the other when I have some more time.
I'm glad you and others enjoyed them! It's the least I could do for those behind me whose view I blocked. My arm still hurts from trying to hold the camera high and still while dancing (or maybe its the 50 in of snow I had to shovel last month).

I'll be in the Merriweather pit as well with the wife, friends and offspring. See you there.

Thanks for the kind words! You can't see Yim's nose hairs but hopefully it conveys a bit of the excitement of the crowd up front.
BTW, got a kick out of your screen name.

So, ALady, are you the one in the blue dress behind me when I scan the crowd during Wonderful Man? If so, look to your right and you'll see my wife, 6' 1'' blond with glasses.
Yep, that's me. Small world!
