I was just curious, I have been following the band for the last 3 1/2 years now but I'm new to the board. I have yet to see the band live and had a few questions.
I know they are touring now and are on the east coast of the US.
I was just wondering how far east the guys normally come, I live in Nova Scotia, Canada, and would love to see a show. I can't make any of the shows this summer but with the next tour I'm hoping to be at one for sure.
Thanks

Its a tough call, but after 3.5 years, maybe its time to bite the bullet, take Friday Oct. 15th off, hit the road early, and meet us for preshow drinks. If you left Nova Scotia by 8am, you'd be in Portland by 4:30pm, three hours before the show. Maybe you could find a cheap flight. I flew from NH to see the first week of the April tour and it was worth every penny of a grand. Do it! I'll buy you a beer.
Bing driving directions says "548.2 miles, 7 hr 54 min".
Roundtrip airfare, Halifax to Portland via Continental $482 (Fri to Sun)
Looks like they stopped running the CAT car ferry between Yarmouth and Portland. Too bad.
Thanks for the info, I just did a map quest and its about 13 hours for me to get from Cape Breton to Portland, ME, this is something I will definitely look into.
There is a fairy that runs from Nova Scotia to Portland, Maine. I took it a few years ago when I drove from New York City to Nova Scotia to see the White Stripes.

Wow! There's such a thing as a fairy ride?!?! That's pretty awesome! Gotta check that out some time. Can't say I've ever been carried from place to place by a mythical winged creature ;D
Just messin' with ya! I think you meant "ferry" ;)

HA! I was typing that on my iphone when I woke up this morning.
There was a ferry called CAT, but it no longer runs to Portland. :'(
Road trips for this band are so worth it.
I agree I am the Dude. I have logged a lot of miles on the road for MMJ.
I just bought tickets today for the show in Portland, I can't wait, no more ferry from Nova Scotia to Maine, but I am going to make the trip, its about a 13 hour drive from where I live so I should be able to do it in a day.
