Title: Anywhere I can get live performances?
Post by: moondog on Feb 08, 2004, 09:14 AM
Hi all - first post but hopefully not the last.

I've been buzzing all week after seeing the frankly awesome show in the London Astoria on Thursday last, and haveing witnessed all those long, beautiful rockouts I'd ove to know if there is anyway of getting hold of some recordings of the live shows.

Can anyone help? For what it's worth I'm a music hack so I'm sure I can throw some equally good musical goodies your way...

I read something from a Swedish guy who had spent a long time in thrall to dance music and had finally seen the light. That's pretty much exactly what I feel - hairy blokes, if you're reading this, thanks a lot for re-affirming this man's belief in how music can tattoo a grin on yer face.

Peace and love

Go to a site called DCN.com.....they have 6 webcasts that show the band playing in a venue like the 9:30 club in D.C.  There are many other great bands that include Guided By Voices, The Constantines, Drive-By-Truckers and Ted Leo.  It is a great site...check it out.
