QuoteNick Kinsey, Brigham Brough, Mike Irwin and Wyndham Boylan Garnett are really excited to be joining My Morning Jacket as their horn section for the nights of 10/21, 22 and 23 where they will be performing It Still Moves, Z, and Evil Urges with the best band on this side of the Mississippi.
While the addition of a horn section for It Still Moves was widely-assumed, it is amazing to see that the Dearland Horns will be joining MMJ for more than half the T5 run!

Great news!!! It made sense they would be playing with the boys, but it is good to have that confirmed! Can't wait for Easy Morning Rebel and Dancefloors among others! :D
This is badass! 8-)

Another great thing to look forward to....thanks for the post!
For some reason I thought this thread was gonna say people are bringing vuvuzelas to the shows. :(
fantastic! i do love those Dearland horns! (Nick also packs a kazoo. for the record.)
Have Z songs ever been performed with horns? Certainly the ISM stuff we know, and with Preservation Band they did Evil Urges and Highly Suspicious with horns.... but I'm drawing a blank as to what Z songs would fit?

This is wonderful news...
As far as Z goes, I could see horns on What a Wonderful Man, Off the Record, Anytime, Lay Low...maybe others. Maybe there are some covers from this period that could support horns. The more horns the better...

I am hoping this doesn't happen...I love the isolation of Carl's sax...I can feel the chills...

I can understand this. I just enjoy different takes on staple songs. Either way I cannot wait for some dondante action :)

Definitely Into The Woods as well. I could see Gideon gettin horny.
For Z horns, check out Dondante, Bonnaroo 2006.
if they pull something similar out for T5, that'd be sweet.
