I was wondering the entire episode "Circuital, Wonderful, or Friends Again... hmmm" then, BAM! It's The Way That He Sings and I was like "why does my mind blow to bits every time they play that song?" wooooo!

When they came back at 1228est or so, I thought nice, theyre going to play a fully Circuital...then that same Dave 2 minute jerkoff shit  -> commercial -> and the band plays a 5 minute song.

EGGCELLENT choice though..Wonderful just wouldnt have felt right. too slow. TWTHS the week prior to the epic T5 run was the perfect call. Since they didnt play it for the Live on Letterman thing, shoulda saw the writing on the wall!!

I know I'm feeding the troll, but do you really not know how old that song is (say, to the nearest 4 years or so)?

Loved the song choice and the performance.  I know it's not their fault, but with the shortened ending, it kind of left me with some musical blueballs.

What did Paul say at the end when Dave points at him and Tom gets a big smile on his face.  I keep rewinding but I can't hear it.

I agree.. that sucked. I can't believe I even listen to these guys anymore. Hacksaw, maybe we should be friends and make-out with each other. I think your hot...do you shave?

By the way...does anyone have an extra pair of panties...hacksaw wants to be my pretty lady.

So are you really done or just complaining about what you don't like in your life?

Back to the subject...that song was the only one that gave me the chills last night (and maybe Mahgeetah)...wow JJ is loving NYC.

Hacksaw why would you post on a forum when you are no longer a fan. Do you really have that much time on your hands? Actually all the attention (that I'm contributing to) is probably the reason isn't it. I think I'll go to Justin Beibers website and bash him and rain on a bunch of 13 year old girls cry. That would be fun.

Go find something else to do.

just watched this on the dvr, wanted to wait till i got home and had better sound/HD.  the only thing i kept thinking was how bad ass is it to come on national tv and play a 10 yr old song.

A couple things to clear up in this thread

- Letterman's guests always only get one song

- JJ no longer lives in NYC, he's back in da ville, but he obviously likes it there

- The Way That He Sings is at least 10 years old and of course they played an old song, they're "promoting" T5 not a new album

- Great performance!

I'm glad I got to see the whole thing thanks.  My crappy station played extra commercials or something and I didn't get to see the start or Dave come out at the end.....sounds like Paul says "oh buddy!!" to me...but only because he couldn't say "HOLY FUCKING SHIT THAT WAS AMAZING!!!"  That really was a really passionate performance of that song.
