It's a tie between White Blood Cells and Elephant.  Everyone tells me that De Stijl is better than those two, so I'm gonna have to go get it to find out!

am i the only person who doesn't like the stripes? i saw them play in london and they were quite good, but i find the whole thing is just a big Led Zep rip-off only not nearly as good.

Ah, but when you can only get artificially flavored Led Zep, it passes for just as good!    ;D

No, not nearly as good as Zep, but these days, just about anything that sounds like Zep is good.  It is what it is...purely entertaining (like Jet, for instance), not too deep.  I don't agree with the pundits out there that would annoint them the new rock gods, but I've seen them twice and was impressed both times.  Good live show.
