After pulling Garfield through the Pegasus Parade yesterday, I was cajoled into going to Headliner's last night to see these guys, along with Rogers Sister, which was also quite yummy. If you like dreamy, MBV inspired guitar fuzz Jesus and Mary Chain riffage, this is for you.
Awesome time last night. Stayed out till the wee hours of the morn, only to be at work by 7:30. Ouuuuuuuuuch. :P Well worth it, though...
Huge shoutouts to Antoniostrohs! Great seein' ya there last night man. And Craig Pfunder...I was WAY too tired to dance, but felt inspired by your fanatical booty shakin'. You even inspired my wife to break out her best DRI skankin' moves from back in the Day...ah, what a night!
Hey wait-you guys play tonight at Headliners! No Sleep 'till Brooklyn.......!
Title reminded me of David Johanson song with the line
"we were marvelling at the Marvelettes".
Can't remember the title at the minute. No doubt I'll get back to all those who are going to have sleepless nights trying to remember it also.
It was of course, 'Frenchette'.
Sleep peacefully, babies.
say Greggy, what's with your sig line... ;D
Its one of my fave Wildheart tunes.....guess who is going to see them on Thursday????
(Clue. Greggys son is only part of the answer.)
"You call that love in french, but its just frenchette.
I've been to France so lets just dance!!!!!!!!"
(Not the Wildhearts)
I could sing you some more if you really want me to.
You're bored with this thread, aren't you?
QuoteI could sing you some more if you really want me to.
OK, sing some more, but that means I get to sing back, right?

This thread is finished.
It is an ex-thread.
hold up...this is MY thread, damn it! ;)
and to veer it back to topic, I got the Rogers Sisters CD at the show and have rediscovered my undiscovered punk side...of course Susan has been diggin' it as she's an old skool punk from back in the day.
if only y'all could see the two of us, circa 1987...wow.
john: tie-dyed hippie freako w penchant for the rock
susan: chuck wearin' punk chick w a penchant for DRI
Oops ;)

That show sounds great!
btw 1987 feels really recent to me. I'm still wearing pretty much the same clothes, except for work, when I look quite straight apart from my hair.
