...with a mixed c.d.! I've got the equivalent of writer's block with this mixed c.d., and I need help finishing it. Here's the tracks so far (order not fixed):
Devil's Workday - Modest Mouse
I Don't Wanna Grow Up - Tom Waits
Whorehoppin' - Eagles of Death Metal
Back Door Man - Doors
My Generation - Who
Living Loving Maid - Zeppelin
Rip This Joint - Stones
Sweet Jane - Velvet Underground (I'm not sure abt this one)
maybe some MC5? not sure.
The whole c.d. has this kind of adolescent boy energy to it, and I've got some audio clips from TV and movies thrown in to help that along.
Suggestions?
How about:
Kick out the Jams-MC5
Heroes-David Bowie
I Nearly Lost You-Screaming Trees
The Ocean-Led Zep
Cure for Pain-Morphine
I think you should throw some Sabbath on there. Maybe an AC/DC track, and perhaps another Modest Mouse track (3rd Planet)? As an avid mix maker myself, i feel your frustration with trying to complete it properly. Many times they start out so well, but end pretty week. Good luck!
Hendrix--"1993 A Merman I should turn to be"

Big Star! Haven't listened to them in years. Excellent call.
Great suggestions, all. There were a lot that I wish I could've used, but I didn't have the tracks. Weezer, Pavement, Zep, and Modest Mouse made it. I really wanted to use some T Rex, but have nothing by them. THe only Bowie I have is Hunky Dory, and nothing from that fit in the mix.
Thanks, guys and gals!
So, what is the final list. not that i want to copy, but I am interested to see how you finished this mix. Peace.
lemme know if this link doesn't work.

oh, and I guess I didn't use pavement after all. I thought I put Box Elder on there.

yes of course--why on earth did they write a song about him?
