when I was little, I heard the news and people say Russia was evil.  Then I met some Russians who came to my high school on an exchange trip and Sting released "I hope the Russians love their children too".  After that, my worldview changed and Russia is America's friend and ally these days, which makes them my friend by proxy, I suppose.

Sooooooooooooooooooo....Russia is cool.  Now what of these portals?  :D

I have a similar experience, John.  When I was a kid, all I heard about was how terrific these entertainment web portals were.  But I wasn't allowed to see them until I was "older".  So I waited and waited, and then finally my 16th birthday came.  My heart was pounding as I engaged into the entertainment web portal.

It sucked.

Don't know anything about this Russia, though.  Is it a flavour?

Sting is also in Dune as some kinda crazy dude...and he's hosted Saturday Night Live, which has had John Goodman as the host a record 15 times.  John Goodman has also starred in The Big Lebowski...so Sting to Goodman to Lebowski in three moves!  ;)

Considering the shabby treatment the Russians showed Rocky, it's hard to have much positive feeling for them.  However, I know that Rocky did what he did so both countries could understand that our anger towards each other is misplaced, so I guess Russia's ok.

You're absolutely right.  Thank god for Rocky.  It's almost like he's the second Jesus.

Rambo was dysfunctional anyway so he wouldn't comprehend Rocky's motivation

Well, my great grandfather was Senator McCarthy and my other great grandfather was Douglas McArthur, so they really helped out in shaping me into hardcore anti-russian that I am today...down with Moscow!! ;)  Nah, just kidding.  The Ruskies are alright; My roomate last year was a russian exchange student and he was real cool.
