Title: The Mars Volta or L'Via L' Viaquez
Post by: Coltrane on Mar 04, 2005, 05:21 PM
This band is amazing!!!!!!!!! I was never a big fan of At the Drive In, so I was wary when these guys started. But some people I respect kept telling me, and I got both Mars Volta records, and oh my golly, do they rock!!!

any thoughts???????????????

sorry if it has been discussed before....

i loved ATDI in their prime...I never listen to them anymore, guess I've just grown out of it.

Frances the Mute is a great album, and Cassandra Gemini literally sends chills up my spine. Yes, sometimes the fillers get a little annoying, but they usually put you in the mood of the next song.

whats cassandra gemini? I just bought Frances the Mute this weekend and the album is absolutely stellar. Some of the critics complained that it seemed to ramble, but I thought that it fit the record perfectly. I love these guys. Can't wait to see em at Bonnaroo.

;D

I still have to buy the records, but The Mars Volta is my ultime dance-music. I love it. 'Relationship of command' is one of my favorite albums too, but Sparta is dull shit. Saw TMV live once and I'm still shaking. They're so great, they make me wet my pants.
