and like a champ, I might add. we had to send mrsjohnconaway out of the room, and poor Amelia cried like a banshee, but was totally fine once it was all over. i'm feeling quite guilty for going back to work, so I'm trying to assuage my guilt by posting here.
I'm so worried that I'm calling right now to check on her!

Poor little Amelia! Why are you worried, John? Just 'cuz you're a Dad? (Which, or course, is completely valid.) Awww, it must be hard to do stuff like that. I hate taking my cat to the vet for the same reason. But she's a cat and it's hard enough, so little people must be torturous.
Good work, Dad!
Here's the (not so) funny thing. When Emily Clara went to get her shots for the first time, I was joking with my wife that she was gonna have to leave the room while the doctor and I administered the shots. Well, along comes the needle and the whimpering...and I almost broke down in tears. I had to leave the room while my wife held my baby's legs for the doctor.
yo, just got off the phone and she's grouchy ??? but okay.
dude, that's hilarious. i'm no fan of needles, brings back chilling military memories of mysterious injections... >:(
How's she doin' today, John?
In my experience, they usually sleep really well the day of the shots. And they bounce back like champs the next day. She will learn what a "boo-boo sticker" is though, and then she'll invent phantom boo-boos to get a band-aid off of you.
