that'll be my pleassure! I can't wait to check out the new covers! thanks again. Sounds like you'll had a hell of a time last night.
this will be mine in thirty minutes.
again, thanks, kory j!
big sloppy kisses to you, Kory! :)
Quick question - mine downloaded and then said "decompression failed" when it tried to unzip. I'm startin again - has anyone else had this happen? Or is it just my crappy internet connection...
Kory, come give me a hug you big fantastic stud!
The work you have done for this board over the last 6 months is just outstanding.
I think I will wait to see what the results of tonights recording are. Maybe they will play Mahgeetah the second time around? We can only hope. At least it wasn't a rare song or a cover that they cut.
Forgive me, I'm new to this...but how do you get the files to iTunes? I have them unzipped and all, but I dont know how to get them onto iTunes. Thanks in advance. :)
just drag them in... it's actually too simple..
Thanks guys for all the positive comments, I love hanging out here and will do whatever I can whenever. It's not nearly as much as real tapers have to do though.
The show is on again and i am recording on the computer and nothing is going on besides that... if there's glitches this time, it's all sirius.
I'll keep ya posted!
cheers! (http://www.mymorningjacket.com/yabb2files/Smilies/beer.gif)
I got it, but thanks. I just added the whole folder. This is awesome Kory, thanks a lot! :)

You aren't kidding. I can't thank you enough for all of your good deeds, Kory. *tips my hat*
Awesome. Thanks bro! Nice e-mail addy too 8-)
can somebody confirm the cover songs (who did them originally)?
covers...which were stunning
1. Kool and the Gang
2. Lionel Ritchie
3. Wham
4. Prince
5. AC/DC
Epic show. so much fun. my brain is still ringing. cant wait to listen to the show again...thanks for making this music available, Kory.
Did anyone catch what was said about unicorns while Tom was killing his bandmates at the end of the show?
So much for the second go at it. Cut off at 11 central right in the middle of Dancefloors. Uhggg. Now I shall just wait for the flacs! Thanks again KJ.

Yep, If we were a dodgeball team Kory would be our captain, well Kory and Tracy.
Well, for my first post, I'm happy this is it:
Thanks a ton for this pull, it's really great.
I had a good chuckle during "What a Wonderful Man" when, around 30secs, "All My Little Words" by Magnetic Fields came on, I thought I'd pressed something!
Again, thanks for this, it was a blast to be at, and I'm glad I can hear it so quickly.
Yep, the broadcast last night too care of the wonderful man problem as well as countless other digital marks I heard that almost made me sick yesterday.
Last night they cut off durring dancefloors though but they got the entire intro which they cut when it was live. They also played nearly 10 minutes of pre-show music that I'm going to include as it just provides a ramp to the performance.
The only thing this recording will be missing is the mageetah closer and the dialog of Tommy getting his revenge. Along with 3 nice sized digital glitches in Highway to Hell these will be the only faults. The show did get audience taped though and it will be making it's rounds soon.
I've gotta track this dog up tonight and I'll be putting it up on the archive tonight.

I don't have the leadership skills to be a captain... it's you guys that rock!
I do have numchuck skills though... :-?

Thanks for all your work Kory!!
Out of my ass and my mouth...
Kory -
If I knew you what bar you hung out at in Louisville I'd buy you several rounds of beers for taking the time to bring us this show. [smiley=beer.gif]
Many thanks.
I want to add my heartfelt thanks for all of your efforts. This weeked were my first three MMJ shows and I couldn't have asked for more. I am still basking in the warm glow of all three nights but especially NYE. Being able to listen to this so soon after the show will definitely help me ward off the usual post-concert blues.
Thanks again!
Thanks for the good beer wishes!
I took the link away for now, don't hate me... I am putting up a better copy with less flaws on the archive now and it'll be done in the morning.
thanks!

anyone else having trouble with the link?
I modified the first post... Archive.org removed the show. I thing it was the fact if was recorded from Sirius Radio. Tonight I will upload the flacs (possibly individually) as well as some mp3s somewhere for folks to grab them. Sorry about all the confusion.

Most radio stations are fine with it but Sirius is more a corporation rather than a radio station...
hey kory, i downloaded the show to find out it was a 'read only' file. any idea's how i can open this?

Time for a bit torrent session!!!
you may want to think about labelling it as a FM instead of a SBD source since MMJ's official taping policy says no SBDs. It probably is a Sirius issue but just a suggestion and it's probably a more accurate label anyway.

That's odd, is it a zip file? The vbr's from archive or what I upped the other day?

Good call Dylan, that may make a good difference to the archive... is it actually FM though???
I tend to think that when a band says no SBDs, it usually means they wont give a patch to the board but who knows...
Does this policy have any repercussions as far as the San Diego Show? I recorded it and I am tracking it right now.
Kory if you haven't started working on this show yet, I should get it done tonight. Sounds pretty darn good for a stream capture.

Hey KJ -- Any update on the fan taped version of NYE and any of the other 2 nights?
Also thanks for taking the time and effort to do all of this. If I was in Louisville, I'd hit ya with some
Homemade Icecream and Pie Kitchen
in gratitude. dammit, St Louis needs to get something like them.

nah still waiting... Sangban is sending me NYE night soon and litmus is sending me night two in flac soon as well to upload to the archive.
It was also mentioned my mfd11 that the first two night were taped and will see the light of day shortly.
Everything's looking good!
Oh and thanks for the wishes of pie and coffee.. speaking of coffee, I'm off to brew up a pot...

No prob, the only thing I did differently was I gave it a slight level boost in Adobe Audition.

Yes sir it is... the glitches weren't really bad, just me overeacting mostly... except for a few sirius flubs, it was alright. The one up for download now is superior though.
whoohoo! thanks!

Yes, this is the archive-pulled source. After my computer cools down, I may try an upload without the Sirius reference in it but for now, this will be the fastest way to get the files...
Sorry, I'm an impatient baby and tech-impaired, but will there be, or is there, a place where we can get MP3s of this show, especially the covers?
One place seems to have them, but they have exceeded their quota for visits or downloads or whatever.

m4a's are in the first post. They play in itunes and itunes converts to mp3s.
Hey Kory? I may have missed this one already. Is there any sight of the whole run on FLAC? I have been waiting and Im just about to go crazy if I dont hear this music soon.
Thanks man

Disc 2 Track 8 - Hell Yeah!
Disc 3 Track 9 - HAHAHAHAAHA!
In case you were wondering.... those are my unwarranted comments on the cover songs. This kicks butt! Thanks Mr. Kory! Dammit I was THIS close to going to that show.
You other folks owe it to yourself to download it now if you haven't already.

Any idea why this got taken down from the archive & if the issue will be resolved or not? Something to do with Sirius Radio i guess?
I've been trying the sendspace link since I got back from vacation but I keep getting the same "Sorry, the free service is at full capacity." message over & over again :-/

Hey db, I read your message and I'm trying again this morning. Leaving the soundboard and the sirius off this time. If it still doesn't take, I'll get you the tracks somehow. Sorry, it seems as though sendspace has something against Japan, haha!
Hope you had a good vacation!
I was able to get it form sendspace. Thank you SO much Kory! I can't wait to listen, it feels like nye again...the anticipation!! [smiley=thumbsup.gif]

awesome! the covers sound amazing!
You're damn right about sendspace! haha
I'm downloading from the archive now. Thanks very much Kory - yet another great job! [smiley=thumbsup.gif]
Absolutely epic show! Kory-cannot thank you enough for letting me re-live it over and over!
Listened to this entire show yesterday while I was painting the new babies room. Good move leaving the intro music on Kory. I think it definately belongs. It would be three discs either way. The songs fit perfectly the way you put them together. I think the sound is really good on this thing, the only problem being the lack of crowd noise. I guess this is good and bad for different reasons. Anyway, this will definately be a regular listen. Cobra is effin sweet! Can't wait to get nights one and two!

Glad you agree on the intro... go get night two brother, it's on the archive!!!!
I've been listening to this show constantly. During my commute to work, all weekend long while I'm cleaning house. I just turn it on and turn it up and get stuff done!
Whew!! I just finished organizing these tracks in iTunes! It was quite a process, but well worth it! I'll take all the live MMJ I can get! Thank You Kory!! ;D
Any word on the audience recording? I'd love to put together an aud/sbd matrix mix of this show...
I just want to give a big thanks to Kory for all the work put into this upload and letting the rest us of be able to hear this magical performance. This is an excellect recording and many thanks!!
p.s. why won't they do something like this when they play in Louisville once a freaking year!!!!!!

Amen! I think we should start a petition thread asking for a spring festival since there's nothing scheduled for the band so far...
the cobra petition worked for NYE! :-?
Muchos gracias for this! Great show and great tape!
Hey Kory:
An update on the NYE fan version? The Sirius version is excellent, however I am curious to hear Mahgeetah and the end.
Also, what up with the 12/29 show? Has that turned up at all?
Thanks
no, I haven't heard from anyone recently. One guys said he knows 12-29 was taped though so I have faith...
Kory, thank you for being savvy enough to record and upload. Much thanks!
QuoteKory, thank you for being savvy enough to record and upload. Much thanks!
Thanks, though I am wishing I was savvy enough to be an audience taper like so many of these other fine folks are... I'm thinking of getting some equipment though.

Thanks, though I am wishing I was savvy enough to be an audience taper like so many of these other fine folks are... I'm thinking of getting some equipment though.
Taping is a LOT of work. Its incredible how much work it is to tape. Gotta get there early, leave late, carry shit around. Can't cheer during the show or cough when you drag a joint. Can't get a drink or take a piss during the show. Gotta "shoosh" complete strangers when they get loud, some people get touchy about it. The potential for unexpected problems is always huge, even when you think you've covered all the bases. I got some equipment years ago and taped a few Dead shows but found out that it was almost impossible to have fun while taping. The iciing on the cake was that every show I taped had a better source than mine. BAck in those days, taping was a huge investment, but now maybe not as bad but it takes practice....lots of it. There are some guys like Jim Wise who have taped so much good Dead and related stuff over the years, it boggles the mind. I gave up...sold my stuff never did it again. FWIW, I give tapers all the credit in the world, but as a fan of rock shows, Id rather enjoy the show than tape it. Actually, I wish all bands would do what Pearl Jam does...what a wonderful world it would be.
Amen to all of that, especially the Pearl Jam part.
This might be my favorite of all three nights.
Hey Kory--Any update on the fan recorded version of this show?
Thanks
nothing in a while, I'm sure we'll see it before too long...
I've put this up on Archive. Thanks to Kory for all the work back in the day to capture this. I left out any mention of it being a rip of the Sirius broadcast so hopefully it won't get taken down again.
