WOO HOOOOO now we wait for that new album?!?!

pretty large break between Oregon and Alabama, wonder if they'll stop at ACL Weekend 2 and maybe do a few texas shows around then, would make sense for that long of a break between the Pacific NW down to the Southeast

I don't think I will make it to this run but I agree with every bit of this statement.

I hope this turns out to be true. I don't think I can make any of the dates they just released besides OBH.

Nothing for Louisville?

It's either/or for Chicago vs. OBH5 for me. Much rather spend the extra $$$ and party in Mexico.

Post by: ranyart on May 18, 2021, 11:11 AM
Chicago looks like the path we will take but it is unfortunate that Louisville didn't make it on the itinerary (at least so far).  Chicago is good for us because our two daughters live there (one is there now and the other is moving over this summer) so we'll have a place to stay which is a big help.  I would love to go to the Berkeley Greek show but that isn't happening and it's a risky time of the year to be playing outdoors in that part of the world in any case because of fire season.

Thanks for the announcements MMJ and looking forward to seeing everyone's smiling faces in Chicago!!!

Some great venues!  I'll be hitting Santa Barbara for sure.  BUT they have pretty strict noise ordinances, and strict curfew, so it will likely be a pretty tame show.  Hopefully the band plays a set tailored to that.

Saw them at the Greek in LA years ago and it was tough to fully immerse as the volume was so low.  Could hardly hear them in the back rows.  I much prefer to get my face melted by the jacket.

I used to love outdoor shows.  There's nothing like seeing live rock and roll music under the light of the stars!  But then the too much fun police took over and started making rules like gardenparty mentions above which really put a damper on my desire for outdoor music in places where this is the case (which is pretty much everywhere we tend to go to shows).  They built not one but two brand new indoor/outdoor venues, one in downtown Cincinnati and the other right across the Ohio River in Newport KY, and I said at the time they were announced that these sorts of rules will make them less fun than they otherwise would be.  No music has happened at them yet for obvious reasons so I hope I'm wrong...

I just noticed that the show in New Orleans is on Halloween.  I bet that is going to be a fun night.  One of my favorite Jim moments was at the Monsters of Folk show in Louisville, which was also on Halloween, when the band came out after set break dressed as KISS and proceeded to play Detroit Rock City and Rock And Roll All Night.

I'm actually a little worried about what a bunch of new material will look like/sound like. But I know they'll do a good job of mixing in staples to keep it tight.

It's hard to know how good of a deal it is since I don't see any ticket prices anywhere for any show, but the $1219 package seems like a good deal.

I just checked out Hotel Essex and rooms during that time frame run $220/night or $240/night with a city view so I agree $1219 or $2019/VIP is a pretty good deal.  The venue is a couple of blocks away and the hotel is right on Michigan Av across from Grant Park which is an excellent location.
Title: Re: 2021 Tour
Post by: logan5ive on May 18, 2021, 01:48 PM
I looked at other hotels within walking distance and you might be able to snag a room for 3 nights for $400-$500. It comes down to the price of a ticket and the fact that VIP will have the best tickets.

Looks like Chicago tix should be ~$75 based on the difference between the 2 travel packages. So, that puts the $1,219 package about at cost, but gets you "premium" tickets.

Getting a hotel and tickets on your own...you'd pay less but you probably won't be able to get great seats for all 3 shows.

This news is so great!!!!!!!

There is an interesting break in October.  I'd love it if those Austin rumors came true.  I have always wanted to go there.  And if they add a Vegas show, that would be amazing too.
Title: multi-night tickets only option?
Post by: sabretoothcowboy on May 18, 2021, 02:24 PM
So, the VIP thing for the multi-nighters is kind of funky. How does it work if you want more than one ticket together per night? Do you have to double all the goodies or can you just add an extra standard ticket and will seats be together? Not really clear.

Hopefully there will be an option for all 3 nights - tickets only.

I can't afford a 2 week quarantine when I return to Canada, so I can't commit to buying a ticket when they go on sale :(

If I was a betting man I'd say we don't get any new material (or new album drop) during this tour. I think this is a chance to get back out on the road, play a few Waterfall II tunes, and fill some coffers as these seem to be the sure-thing go-to venues/festivals for MMJ. Fingers crossed I am wrong and we get a new album between now and August!

From the looks of it, it seems like the pre-sale for the multi-night shows is only the VIP/travel packages. Makes sense, I guess. People dropping the big bucks get first dibs. Seems kind of unfair though. It gives people traveling first crack over actual Chicagoans.

Typically, CID packages are transferable so you could buy tix, keep your fingers crossed, and in the unlikely event that restrictions ate still in place you could probably easily sell your ticket/package for cost.

From the words of each of the the band members, they said they were not going to release new album until they can tour, so with that said... my guess is new album news is COMING SOON!! 🙏🤞 and my guess would be late July or August release.

Edgefield is great. I've seen several shows there (Jacket twice, Panic, Wilco, Lizzo, Ray LaMontagne with Jacket boys backing). Nice little natural amphitheater surrounded by trees about 20 minutes from Portland. It's run by McMenamins, which is a local chain of breweries and hotels - they revive old buildings into funky, fun spaces with an ecclectic hippy vibe. Edgefield has hotel rooms (likely sold out by now for that night but maybe worth a shot), several different restaurants, a movie theatre, a bunch of great little bars on the property, a par-3 golf course, a saltwater soaking pool and spa. There are gardens and a winery, distillery and brewery on site. Basically an adult playground.

Very excited for that show, as well as Bend and Berkeley, and maybe Seattle. It's gonna be a good tour :)

We discussed the 2021 tour this evening and came up with The Plan.  The more we look at the current itinerary the more shows we want to go to, which is seriously good fun considering we have been waiting since 2017 for this and the virus mess we are working through right now.

I wish all of you the best of luck in your quest for tickets, and I hope all of the ticket bots and other scalping scum find a warm place in hell to distract them while we get this done.  Peace and love, and see you soon!

Halloween in New Orleans could be a "hoot". I remember see them at jazz fest back in the day which was great but those festival shows are during the day/afternoon which I less prefer but rumor was Jim and Crew were going to show up for a late night meeting at the legendary Preservation Hall to play with the boys. Tiny place couldn't get in but listened from outside. Around 1:00am Jim leads a second line down the street as we all marched to the French Quarter. That was a special night.

I saw several years of epic Grateful Dead shows at the Greek back in the late 1980s, and I can tell you that it is a stunning concert venue with views through Berkeley and out across San Francisco Bay.  I clicked on a random buy tickets link from their web site and it is showing GA which is what it was when I was there.  It is in an urban setting so I'm sure there is a curfew at the usual time.

As was mentioned earlier in the thread, the Greek in Berkeley at that time of year is subject to substantial fire smoke.  A few years back my wife & I were at the Long Beach Airport, waiting to board our flight to Oakland to see The National at Berkeley when the email came through that because of fire smoke and danger, the shows had been postponed.  I'm pretty sure the first show was that night.  So that's definitely a possibility.

That said, I've already booked our flights to Berkeley.  Plus, my nephew will be a sophomore up there this fall, so I'm buying him a ticket too.

These shows are great news. Is there any chance they skipped Los Angeles and San Diego because of an agreement with Ohana Fest? At least Santa Barbara Bowl is a great venue. I'd like to go out to Chicago for the three nights, but wondering if they will be adding more shows closer to San Diego.

Hmm.

get as much as you can keep around."

For the first time in over two years we have tickets to see MMJ, and for the first time since their last NYE shows we have a three day run to look forward to!!!  We got exactly what we were looking for without too much pain and panic - a three night travel package for us and four presale balcony seats for Saturday for the kids.  Ticket prices were reasonable $75 for the floor and $55 for the balcony (which is what we ended up with for Saturday).

Giddy up!

Compound Fracture

Compound fracture, gonna ring the gong
And sound the warnin' of what's to come
If we ain't careful as to where we stand
Paradise callin' on a timely death
Compound fracture, gotta set the bone
Wrap it up; let it heal on its own
Don't walk on it; give it time to rest
Can't be all action all the time
Just got to give it some time, time, oh
There's no evil; there's no good
Only people doin' as they should
There is life and love and sound
Get as much as you can keep around
'Fore they put you into the ground
For who knows how long
How long
I know you're young; that's the time to love
If we're too soft on you, you will get burned
Fill your skull with what you want
Can't be all action all the time
Just got to give it some time, time, oh
There's no evil; there's no good
Only people doin' as they should
Oh, as they should in the light of day
Go on, the devil were made up anyway
But their meanin' so real and so plain
There is life and love and sound
Get as much as you can keep around
'Fore they put you into the ground
For who knows how long
How long (ooh)
For who knows how long
How long
'Til the next go 'round

Am I wrong or is this presale for the VIP Love and Sound packages only? The only shows I think I can make are Seattle, but looking at all the others available during the presale, they only showed the package available?

On the Seattle Ticketmaster page, it shows VIP Package Presale May 19 and General Onsale May 21.

Thanks

I've probably seen 50 shows at the berkeley greek, it is typically entirely GA. Although occasionally they do assigned, but I would be highly surprised if it isn't entirely GA, and there is no seating chart in the link, so GA is likely. AMAZING place to see shows. I think there is a curfew but I think it's 11 maybe, not 10 pm like the SB Bowl and the venue in Bend

Is VIP worth it for the Greek? An extra $150 per ticket for a backpack and early entry seems steep, especially when there doesn't appear to be a bad seat in the house (and I don't mind showing up early for regular doors).

Anyone have thoughts on this? It's my birthday week show but thinking I can save some of that cash for OBH.

Thanks

I wasn't able to get tickets for New Orleans, but I did score three GA tickets for Berkeley.  Now let's hope the fire Gods smile on us and there's not threats of fire and brimstone around the show.  Three years back my wife & I were at the Greek Berkeley to see The National on September 24 & 25th, beautiful nights.  Fingers crossed.

Paramount Theatre in Seattle is typically GA floor (standing, no seats) or reserved seats in balcony. Here's your ticket for the pregnant wife: there is an ADA seating area adjacent to the floor - it is a narrow strip of rows with 2-4 seats per row elevated above the right side (when looking at the stage) of the floor. Find the employee guarding that section, and they'll let you in. We did this for The National when my partner was pregnant but not showing yet, and they took us on our word. Everyone in there stayed seated until Matt Berninger entered our section while singing and making his way around the venue with a super long mic cord - funny how quickly people who needed seats for medical reasons got to their feet! I actually had to get out of the way as he climbed over my chair.

And the show starts at 6:30 according to this website so I am betting there will be plenty of time for everyone.  We were lucky enough to catch Britney with Alabama Shakes when they were relatively unknown at a local folk festival here and she was awesome so I would hope the plan is to shake things up a bit with MMJ too.

Does anybody have experience buying VIP tickets for multi-night runs? Specifically how they handle the swag/posters.

I'm going to both Forest Hills shows and the Love & Sound VIP Package description says it includes "Limited edition show-specific poster, signed and numbered by the poster artist."

Should I expect two of the same poster or do you think it'll be two different posters for each night? If it's the same I'm not sure if it's worth doubling up on the swag.

Edit: For the record, these were two separate VIP tickets for each night, not a VIP package for both (don't think that option was even available)

Brittany Howard is opening right? And not a shared bill? Love her, but ya know, I need max Jacket. It will be 20 yrs since 9/11 that weekend as well.

It looks to me like Brittany is co-headlining.

Unfortunately I think this is correct. The tour email I received said they are "sharing" the evening with Brittany Howard on select dates. I wish I would've read that before I purchased my tickets. I'm really bummed about this. It's a major hassle for me to get to Forest Hills and now I'm going for a 90 min Jacket set? No disrespect to Brittany but I'm having serious buyer's remorse and may have to dump these tickets.

If you're looking to unload let me know, I struck out during the presale

For Forest Hills, I'd be pretty surprised if the schedule isn't Brittany from 6:30 - 7:30 and MMJ 8-10. That's a pretty common schedule for the venue. Plus BH will surely join them for some songs.

Just got VIP tickets for my wife and I for St. Louis (front row of the balcony). We haven't been on a vacation since our Red Rocks 2016 road-trip. We live 4 hrs. & 45 min. from St. Louis but will be staying at a hotel downtown. We stayed there on the way back home from that 2016 Red Rocks run (6 days away from home). This little vacation will be a lot of fun for us.

That's what I was thinking too, but then I've seen other people saying there are venue specific codes with different codes for different locations. So I'm a little confused haha.

Nice parkervb! Great to see everyone here picking up their show choices.  Been a while since we had more than two cities in one week to pick from, makes it a bit easier to snag tix.  AXS/Ticketmaster process quirks and all.

Was lucky enough to grab what I wanted out of the cities announced so far.  A couple great Row B pairs at MPP (of course) yesterday, got an early entry GA pair for FH 9/11 (NYC that day should be pretty special and emotional).

And this morning, after seeing all you folks pumped about that Chicago 3 nighter and looking at those venue photos, picked up Orchestra tix for Thur-Fri-Sat.  Love that city, haven't been there in a few years. Never done a show at that gorgeous looking theater either, so I'm really stoked for that run.

Maybe I'll get to finally meet and share a beer with some of you fine people at one of these shows too!

For once in my life I got everything I wanted during the presale! Even though it seemed during each presale in different timezones that it wouldn't work out. Super stressful to have the tickets in the cart and the credit card screen not load and seeing expire.

HOT TIP! DON'T USE CHROME ON TICKETMASTER. In an absolute panic I switched over to Mozilla and then everything worked perfect.

There is usually a limit to the number of tickets you can purchase but not the number of transactions. I don't know the limit but it should say on the ticket page. So if you got two and need two more, that should fly. If you go over, then I think they cancel both orders.

Yea I'm already at the 4 ticket limit, just wasn't sure if it was applicable since the presale was a different ticketing system then the regular sale

I found this while poking around on TM's website this morning...

https://blog.ticketmaster.com/what-you-need-to-know-about-required-health-checks/ (https://blog.ticketmaster.com/what-you-need-to-know-about-required-health-checks/)

Looks to me like the only MMJ shows that are impacted by this are the two in Seattle.  So I checked Paramount Theatre's web site and found this...

https://www.stgpresents.org/about/reopening#staff-and-patron-precautions (https://www.stgpresents.org/about/reopening#staff-and-patron-precautions)

Of course we're still way out from when these shows happen but there's a lot to unpack here in any case, and there's zero mention of vaccine status which I find interesting.  Hmmmmm...

As to the ticket more than four question above I would suggest getting someone else to get the additional tickets because like APR says once they do the math they will take back any tickets over the limit, and that's the last thing anyone wants.

What is this bullshit on Ticketmaster, showing available seats even in GA and then after you pick them "sorry some other fan beat you to them, try again"

I fucking hate ticketmaster and I'm getting sick of it being so goddamn hard just to get even one shitty ticket to  Jacket show.

Thoroughly confused by the Chicago ticketing process this go 'round.  I knew of the VIP presale on Wednesday (and decided to pass), but then I learned of a "fan" presale that took place on Thursday (which I learned about from my wife who saw an ad on facebook with the password???)....and then today, the Auditorium theater website crashed after I waited 40 minutes in the dreaded 'queue'..So no luck, and now waiting again..
I dunno, just had to vent somewhere...Haven't missed a Jacket show in Chicago since 2008, dealt with some crappy websites in the past to get through, but just seems like I missed some communication this time, or something...

I got the "Accessible" seats for Friday night at Forest Hills for my sister who is in a wheelchair.  Has anyone ever sat there before?  It says "limited view", I'm just not getting a clear picture of where they are or how limited this view may be.

Either way, I'm excited!  It'll be her first MMJ show

"For a General Admission Floor, accessible seating is offered on the platform in front of Sections 201 and 301. Additionally, a section for wheelchair guests will be set in close proximity to the stage for ease of viewing. While provided, it is not required for wheelchair users to remain there. We live 4 hrs. & 45 min. from St. Louis but will be staying at a hotel downtown. We stayed there on the way back home from that 2016 Red Rocks run (6 days away from home). This little vacation will be a lot of fun for us.

Sounds like a well-deserved vacation Mr. White.  Enjoy!!

Thanks!

I'm still planning on going to the Railbird Festival show in Lexington, Ky. on 8/28/2021 since it's so close to me (78 miles). I'm just waiting on single day tickets to go on sale. I'm also hoping they will be adding a second leg/half to this tour and stop in Louisville (55 miles from my house), Nashville, Indianapolis, or Cincinnati. Those cities are in my comfort zone for one day there and back travel. I've done that for Knoxville and Columbus, but those were a bit tough getting home.

Hope everyone gets to go to the shows they want!

I got shut out of Chicago completely.  The first presale there was just nothing.  The second presale was a shitshow of software related issues.  The general on sale something came up at work and by the time I was able to log on pretty much only the gallery was left.

If anybody has extras for any of the nights please message me.  Even if you had intended to put them on StubHub, there is no judgment here.  I will pay you extra and we can both save the ridiculous StubHub fees.

I hear you man. This band has been my favorite for almost 20 years, but the ticket buying process has really rubbed me the wrong way, especially this round. Between the confusing, multiple pre-sales (the Thursday morning venue one wasn't even on my radar 'til it was too late) to the bots scooping up a bunch of the tickets (which are already plastered all over the ticket sites for multiple hundreds of dollars) to the "VIP Packages" where you have to buy a backpack and ear plugs in order secure a better ticket?? Come on, dude. I'm sorry, but how dumb. So, my wife and I have to get 2 goddamn backpacks and pay $400 to get a spot anywhere near the stage? I'm a fairly massive fan, but wasn't able to get anything in the lower level for any of the 3 Chicago nights, despite trying at all the pre-sales. It just doesn't sit right with me. Anyway, hate to be a downer. I still got some balcony tickets and will have a good time.

I feel your pain folks.  I've heard stories from various people about having the same sort of issues with other bands like Dead & Co. and others.  It disgusts me that tickets appeared immediately on places like StubHub and frankly my thinking is I would rather pay VIP prices through normal channels and get what I want rather than supporting scalpers, even if it comes with a bunch of bling that I could care less about.  Betsy works in a school so backpacks are easy to get rid of.  :cheesy:

The best ticket purchasing setup ever was Grateful Dead mail order back in the day, and they even sent fun glittery tickets!  I really wish there was a similar 21st setup that could help filter out the noise.  We had good friends that got their (and our) Dead & Co. tickets by going to a physical TicketMaster outlet where they printed tickets just like the old days and it worked out great.

Keep looking is my suggestion because you never know what will pop up.  Good luck!

Yep, Grateful Dead mail order was the best, I always got tix for every show I tried for. I believe Pearl Jam still has their decades long running fan club for getting tix to the dedicated fans with priority given to members with the most seniority.  Before Jacket axed their fan club a few years ago, it was at least a way to not get completely shut out. Last time they played Red Rocks I couldn't get even a single ticket in the worst row of the venue and I tried all the presales and on-sales.  It is discouraging and disappointing.

Right there with you two on the Grateful Dead mail order tix. Still remember vividly getting those postal money orders and index cards filled out with what shows we were looking to get tix for, and making sure we mailed them out first thing on the days they could be postmarked.

Then when they arrived it was so cool seeing those beautiful tickets. Each show different artwork and color. I don't think we were ever shut out when we did their mail order presales and man do I miss that process and the MMJ Roll Call presales too. It's a different game altogether now, and not just for Jacket tix.

Yeah... I dont understand it.  If you want to charge extra for those seats just charge extra.  No one wants the corny ass backback or really anything else in that package.  I laughed when i saw the offer because i didnt think it would be that hard to get orchestra seats.

I don't know I am pretty excited for the backpack myself. I never use earplugs so those are kind of eh.

I wonder if/hope the signed poster will be the same as the venue poster. I was pretty disappointed with the Broomfield posters we got vs the ones that were sold. I blindly assumed they were the same and didn't go to the merch stand. I would have bought the Guy Burwells had I checked.

I also wonder what the travel package merch that comes with the hotel package will be. The scarves in Broomfield were super sick.

Tickets have been on sale to the general public for a week now and I have to say I'm surprised only three of the shows are sold out, and I'm shocked that none of the east coast shows are on the sold out list especially Forrest Hills.  Do you suppose it's mostly because of the Brittney Howard co-bill, or maybe Covid-19 paranoia?

I dont think casuals realize Brittany is co headlining (is she actually??).  If anything, her presence should boost sales since shes way more of a draw than usual jacket openers.

I think the biggest factor is that a band like Jacket just isnt going to gain many younger fans from here on out unless there is a rock revival.  Its all rap and computer produced music now.  So we're all getting old and other life events are becoming more important.  The herd is beginning to dwindle.

Chicago is the obvious destination event this tour, so everyone is gunning for it.  Plus its one if the worst scalper markets in the country.

Those east coast shows are in huge venues for mmj to play. Birmingham is sold out but it's 1/5 the size of the Atlanta venue. I'd also say based on my experience over the past week casual mmj fans aren't gonna pay $100 to see them.

It's definitely a drag to drive there from Jersey but both times I went, I used NJ Transit into NY Penn, and then LIRR to Forrest Hills. The LIRR is easy as could be and a quick, inexpensive train ride. I think it was one or two stops, about 20 minutes and around $10 each way.

My thoughts, too, and yes- I believe COVID paranoia still exists. New York was slammed by the virus- many died, many were confined indoors, and some fled the city. Only in the last couple weeks are the streets beginning to seem half-normal (I work in Manhattan). Just a few weeks ago I was having trouble imagining shows in 2021, but with the family fully vaxed and regional vaccination rates hitting 50%, MMJ shows convinced me to take the leap of faith. I think others will, too, but gradually. Forest Hills requires a (possibility crowded) train or subway ride, so I can understand some hesitancy. But it's a great venue- and co-billed artists generally get at least an hour set. Looking forward to two nights of Brittany and MMJ!

Haven't seen anyone mention this, but found it interesting.  Received tickets for both MPP and Forest Hills - and there's no Brittney reference to be found.  My Morning Jacket is the only name listed on the tickets.

If it's really a "co-bill" more than MMJ with a well known opener, seems a bit strange.  To me anyway.

It's also funny I purchased and then received hard prints by mail for both shows within a month, but still waiting on my 20th Anniversary At Dawn vinyl from January.  Lol

parkervb - bought a pair each in the MMJ pre-pre sale for MPP and Forest Hills, and a pair in the next day venue presale ( 9:30 Club link for Merriweather).  Received both methods.  Ticketmaster for MPP, AXS for Forest Hills.

For local NYers.
Does anyone know what a standard set time is at the Brooklyn Bowl? Dopapod is playing MMJ nights and I'd think that would be a killer after party/show to go check out. I'd guess I could easily make it in time for second set knowing MMJ ends at 9:45-10ish.. but that is factoring getting a Lyft and getting to the bowl which could take 30-45 minutes.

It says show 9 so I assume set 2 would start around 11? Just unsure if my assumption is far off based on Brooklyn bowl norms

RE: Brooklyn Bowl

Start times really vary. Thursday night shows usually end around 11 because of Bowl Train (Questlove DJ night). If show time is at 9, first set may actually not start until 9:30 or later. It's a great staff and may even be worth calling or dropping them an email.

It's open late. I've been to a handful of Bk bowl shows that have ended around midnight with another show happening after.

Shows on this tour were as expensive or more expensive than ever before.  I realize most of that is out of his control, but still makes him look pretty silly, imo

I'm jonesing for shows too, and your news has gotten me a bit more amped for them getting close. My Charlotte ticket is a mobile one but I can't wait for the Chicago ones to arrive in my mailbox.

Enjoy your show and hopefully we'll be able to rock one together soon enough.

Hope to rock out with you in the future too!
Maybe they will announce a multi-night run here in Louisville next year. We can only hope and pray.

As far as shows go for me, I've had several local small shows pop up that have been tempting, but several factors are slowing my return. I'm probably going to the MMJ show on 8/28/2021 in Lexington (festival set). Hopefully, I'll already have made myself go to some small show before then.

OBH Opener would be killer obviously, i just hope they do something somewhat unique, so no Circuital, Victory Dance, At Dawn, etc that they commonly open with

So, Into The Woods then?

Something off At Dawn is my guess, for the 20th Anniversary.
Honest Man would be unique! But At Dawn makes more sense maybe.

Not trying to start a heated discussion, purely just stating this as i believe it will be the case, but with more and more venues/artists start requiring vaccine proof and/or negative test, it feels like this will be announced any day now for Jacket's tour.

Looks like as im typing this Bonnaroo has just announced the same thing.

I posted this in the Charlotte thread but if anyone wants to make a last minute trek out to North Carolina, i have an extra ticket in a sweet spot for face value.

Section 102, Row 11, Seat 12.  $88

DM if interested.

Works for me. 👍🏻

I know I'm gonna love seeing the guys back on stage in Charlotte and I know I'll have a blast that night.

Knowing people around me will either be vaxxed or negative will make the night even more enjoyable for me by not having to think as much about how the person next to me is.

now that LiveNation has said they are on board with artists making this a requirement (and they dont have to issue refunds thanks to the t's and c's), its only going to be more and more announcements like this. People moaning about vaccine requirements but overlooking the option to just get a negative test are really telling on themselves if you ask me (meaning they aren't vaxxed and almost assuredly would not wear a mask to protect others)

Dead & Co. made their own announcement and what I thought was interesting is the GA pit vaccine requirement which sounds like a first for any band.  We are going (or at least are supposed to be going LOL) to Riverbend on 9/11 which is sold out except for resale tickets.

Let's do it!!

Spinning My Wheels vs the field for 10 smackeroos.

I'll be at B'ham, three in Chicago and New Orleans. As well as OBH.

If you're at any of those shows we can settle up then!

PS I love crazy little side bets!

spinning is the obvious choice if they are adamant about promoting the latest album.  but i like something more old school for the opener.  let's go very deep cut too.

Id love to see this opening combo on Friday.

Spinning My Wheels---> Regularly Scheduled Programming---> Spring (Among the Living)

Open with the lead songs from both the pandemic era albums, starts slow to give people time to take the return to live music in, builds up, then lets it rip
