laughing...nothing yet. t-master seems to be processing very slowly this morning.
keep pulling up shit seats in the 300s... gonna try public sale tomorrow
I just got section 35, row A.
What does that mean? Is there General admission in front of sec 35?
no floor GA?? best i got was section H..what the hell is that
Section 6 Floor Row 3
QuoteSection 6 Floor Row 3
not bad!
I got in...got like sec 308, tried again and got GA!!!!!
Anyone know where GA will be located?
QuoteSection 6 Floor Row 3
how the hell did you get those? Thats great!
no luck on my end still trying.
i'm having zero luck with GA. it keeps telling me "nothing matches that request"
Section 128 row A, I guess I'm ok with that. I wasn't looking for GA anyways.
and all the best avail offers SUCK. should i try at the general sale?
I got "GA Floor"
any idea where that is?
this blows. keep getting 300s lol
QuoteI got "GA Floor"
any idea where that is?
did you say you wanted best available to get these?
ugh!! i haven' been able to get GA!!
QuoteI got "GA Floor"
any idea where that is?
I'm assuming this is the section in front of the regular floor seats..there are no way these are not good seats.
fudge >:(
i kept getting shit 300 level seats also... until tomorrow i suppose
Just got FLOOR 10 !!!!!
Holy sh*t I'm shaking, I had two computers going at once.
QuoteI got "GA Floor"
any idea where that is?
I just got a pair of seats in that area too. It shouldn't be bad...it's on the floor and there will be no seats to stumble over. Plenty of room for scissor kicks ;)
I was able to get section 10, but it was for 4 tickets
can't believe i skipped my bar review class for this...just to get screwed by ticketmaster
are you guys choosing "best available" because basically i'm getting the same shitty seats over and over. just want to know what others are doing to get GA.
i finally got a pair in section 10--but i'm still trying to GA-floor--if anyone wants to trade let me know. lol
OK!
If anyone gets shut out tomorrow for decent seats ....
PM me
I picked up a couple pair on the flloor in Sections 9 and 10
And if you end up with nosebleed seats tomorrow ... Get ahold of me because I will be letting them go for face value.
If nothing else I just kept 2 pairs of floor seats out of the hands of scalpers LOL
QuoteQuoteI got "GA Floor"

did you say you wanted best available to get these?
yes best available...I just had a friend see Pearl Jam and he had these..they were right up front.
I'm trying to get 3 tickets presale and I can't pull anything better than 300's. Should I wait for public tomorrow???
I keep pulling random single floors seats, so I just grabbed one. I wanted two together but it kept giving me the 300s for two.
this blows.
Seat location: section 5, row G, seat 7
wooo-hoooo
my roommate got 4 in the 100s, as did his buddy.
i would like to thank my high speed office internet connection :)
General Admission = The Parking Garage
Pick a space and start dancing
dude i'm trying to get 6... this is going to be difficult to get good seats
QuoteGeneral Admission = The Parking Garage

Yes! I so F$##ing pumped for this show....Radio City was great but this is going to be mind melting!
Quotethis blows.
There are still good seats available for sure. Back of the floor is great at MSG.
so where is the general admission?
behind the floor seating?
Section 9, Row P, Seats 5-6
I hate ticketmaster...
it keeps giving me shitty seats in the 300s and junk but i don't see a GA pit of any kind on the concert seating. where is GA?
I think the key is to look for single seats, not two at a time. You can still pull floors/lower levels.
Not sure where the GA would be, I've seen four NYE shows at MSG, but none had a GA section.
just got one ticket in section 5, but i'm trying to get 4 for my friends and I...figure i'll sell this one if i can get those four...but nice to at least have one in hand
this sucks about not getting GA floor though...maybe tomorrow
don't think i've pulled anything up yet that's on the same half of the arena as the stage.
Quoteit keeps giving me shitty seats in the 300s and junk but i don't see a GA pit of any kind on the concert seating. where is GA?
going by stubhub and ebay, the GA's are the most expensive so i'm assuming they are good seats...I don't see a chart that breaks this down yet though.
this sucks. guess i'll try tomorrow.
Here is a seating chart for MSG's "GA Pit" set-up. I have a feeling that this will be the setup for the show:
http://media.ticketmaster.com/en-us/tmimages/venue/maps/ny5/19713s.gif
i got 2 for section 130...boooo....i need 6 tix on the floor....ticketmaster stubhub and ebay can all blow me!!! whats the point of the presale anyways..when it's like this
Something else you should realize:
This was not a FAN CLUB pre-sale.
The pre-sale code was sent out to everyone on the mailing list for MSG, which means it went out to a whole lot of people.
This was a real hodgepodge of seats. No front row Section 1. They just threw out a bone to see what the immediate response for tickets was this morning.
And the only way there could be GA is if the stage design incorporates it because, Ticketmasters seat plan has sections right up to the barricades.
so according to that chart and what i can gather from stubhub, sections 1-4 will prob be GA?
Quotei got 2 for section 130...boooo....i need 6 tix on the floor....ticketmaster stubhub and ebay can all blow me!!! whats the point of the presale anyways..when it's like this
word to that, presale is for fans who like to get disappointed and shoot evil glances at everyone who got somewhat decent seats
anyone think they will release another batch of tickets at 11?
Interesting .....
I just pulled 2 tickets and under Section it says SITTING ON JIM JAMES' LAP

that seems right...Stubhub has tix that say sec 2 and are GA...so it must be 1-4 GA.
From experience, NYE at MSG is the best venue in the world. It's easy to get around, the ushers aren't dicks, the sound is LOUD, the sightlines are great. As long as you're in you can move around pretty easily, IMO. If you get a floor ticket, you're even better off.

i feel lost and confused, like that guy in saving private ryan who picks up his own arm and walks around the battlefield... tomorrow I fight again
I finally settled on section 232 row c... better than the 300's I was pulling for three of us. Right in front of the stage.
Im buying for me as well as some friends, and I thought I'd be better off getting seats in pairs than getting a block of 6, so I've got a pair at sec 133, row B; a pair at section 40, row M; and a pair at section 9, row N. If any of my friends back out I'll sell their tickets on here for face, but I'll be keeping the section 9 seats for sure. It's too bad they're that far back, but I can't complain about getting floor seats.

i am the same. my boss has come over here twice and saw the ticketmaster up! i can't hide it w/3 screens going ;-)
the way ticketmaster sets up the pre-sale is complete dogshit. I was literally hitting refresh seconds before and actually got two seats for general admission to pop up. but after getting them, i went back in to see if i could get more tickets and the best that comes up is section 333, 40, 94, or 303. basically, what ticketmaster is doing is selling all the shit tickets (less the very few general admission that they let go this morning). i guarantee more GA will be available tomorrow morning when the open up to the public, and they'll also release the Lodge seats next to the stage. but in my opinion that's the sections that should be availabe RIGHT NOW to FANCLUB! it's unbelievable that if you went to stubhub people had GA tickets posted days ago for $200-$500. dogshit. fanclub members should get the first dibs on these seats. MMJ needs to setup a ticket program like the one Pearl Jam has in place where they get the best fucking seats in the house, then we don't need to worry about sucking ticketmasters teet and settling for the sections the furthest away from the stage. I appreciate the pre-sale, don't get me wrong, but when left up to the hands of tickemaster & luck we pull up sections in the 300's and paying scalpers $300 for a good seat, which is complete dogshit. Good luck to all tomorrow. and here is a link to what the floor will look like with the GA floors taking up sections 1-4. http://media.ticketmaster.com/en-us/tmimages/venue/maps/ny5/19713s.gif

I'm really hoping for GA tomorrow... but I think I'd be happy with the 70 & 60 sections to the right & left of the stage... I've seen a few concerts from there and its cool because youre close and nobodys blocking your view (not that I care, I'm 6'1" :) )

that section is pretty good though, it's on a slope/riser so you have nice view of it all. better than being on the floor at the back without the slope.

This is from MSG's website FAQs:
South Seating
The South Press Box is generally reserved for working media during sporting events. For concerts, however, we have the opportunity to sell this seat location. The South Press Box is located between the 300 and 400 Level seating areas in the Arena. The South Press Box consists of one row of folding chairs that is set up in this location. If your ticket is marked Section South, the folding chairs will be set up behind the last row between Sections 307-312. Please proceed to the Gate marked on your ticket and an usher will direct you to your seats.
If this is where the Promenade Box Seats are, that sucks!!

That does suck. The long name kind of tricks you into thinking you got something special. No worries, there should be plenty of tickets available tomorrow.

Press for sporting events is totally different than press for concerts. Im not ripping the seats or having a laugh at the guys expense, but it sounds like he thought the seats were somewhere close to the floor/stage. I thought the same thing.

Its on the floor and a friend just told me they put risers on the floor to help see above the people in front of you. You're lucky to get floor seats on the pre-sale, most everyone was pulling up 300's (or the mysterious "Promenade Box North").

What is the difference between Paris Hilton's vagina and a limousine?
Not everyone has been in a limousine.
What is the difference between Paris Hilton's vagina and a washing machine?
The washing machine doesn't want you to call it the next day after you dump a load in it.
What is the difference between Paris Hilton's vagina and a dead skunk on a hot Texas highway?
If you absolutely had to ... You could eat the skunk.

The Bot Stops Here

A U.S. District Court judge in Los Angeles has awarded Ticketmaster more than $18 million in its case against RMG Technologies after finding that RMG aided scalpers in obtaining tickets through the TM site at speeds and volumes far beyond human capacity.
Judge Audrey Collins ruled in a default judgment that RMG created, trafficked in and facilitated the use of automated bot programs that were able to circumvent the technological copy protection systems of Ticketmaster.com, and issued a permanent injunction against RMG June 19th.
"This is a big win for fans of live entertainment as well as for Ticketmaster," TM general counsel Edward Weiss said in a statement. "Consumers understand that there often simply are not enough tickets to meet demand, but RMG's technology was used by some to unfairly cut to the front of the line. Ticketmaster will continue to fight for an equitable ticket distribution process."
TM filed suit against RMG last year claiming brokers were "bombarding Ticketmaster's Web site with millions of automated ticket requests that can constitute up to 80 percent of all ticket requests made," denying "the public access to tens of thousands of tickets so that RMG's customers can purchase and resell those tickets to the same public at inflated prices."
The proof seemed to be in the pudding when tickets for one of 2007's hottest shows - Hannah Montana - sold out everywhere within minutes, showing up soon after on the secondary market. Collins issued a preliminary injunction against RMG last fall.
TM's award of $18.2 million, plus attorneys fees and costs, stems from profits RMG wrongfully earned through infringement of Ticketmaster's copyrights, inducement to breach contract and intentional interference with contractual relations, Collins wrote in the judgment.

Although I like the precedent this sets to discourage things like this from happening, I'm not a fan of the big payday for Ticketmaster. Its win/win for them; they sold tickets at speeds "beyond human capacity", then they get $18 M because the buyers acted illegally.

section 96, row J, seats 10-12
Would love to trade for GA Floor. I think these seats are straight back from the stage, 10 rows from the floor.
