Anybody looking to unload MMJ show posters? Figured it was worth asking on this forum. :)
Very good price on this lil gem:

I have a matching # set from the Dec. Chicago Theater shows I may be willing to part with.
I also have the Jim James (signed) Chicago Obama Benefit poster for a show that never happened (Schuba's) due to that freak accident in Iowa City.
I feel like I may have a couple weird Burwell NYC (RCMH and/or MSGs) test prints that are pretty unique.
I don't want to part with any of them, but my old car needs new fuel line$ and brake line$.
Shoot me a message if any of these posters interest you.
This looks cool, pricey though:

Picture seems misleading being that the description says "You are bidding on the 'Ted Leo and the Pharmacists' silkscreened print by Leia Bell. " I'd check with the seller before bidding just to be sure.
That being said, I love Burwell's work.

That poster is badass.
Speaking of posters, grab em while they're hot. I snagged Birmingham and Nashville (I was at these shows). There are 4 left at $24.99 ea. plus &6.95 shipping.

UGH! I wish I could afford that! Soon hopefully!
I too would be willing to buy any posters from anyone looking to raise cash or unload extras.
This great Burwell is on eBay for under $100:

Hey all. A pile of posters, mostly from 2008, have appeared on eBay:
http://shop.ebay.com/i.html?_nkw=my+morning+jacket+poster&_frs=1&_sop=10&_trksid=p3286.c0.m359
They're priced about 25% less than the MMJ store, after you factor in shipping. FYI
(figures... I just ordered my Boston '08 poster from the MMJ store two days ago >:()
Most of those posters are listed as quantity 5 or 10. Amazing to me that such a pile of posters could appear. But, good prices, thanks for the heads up.
The show I want they have listed as 2006, I assume that is a mistake. Is there a market for fakes? I also have never seen this poster before, I only know the Burwell versions.
I have an extra Philly 2006 from the Electric Factory Id be willing to part with, the glow in the dark one
(http://www.strawberryluna.com/gallery1/fullsize/567-MMJforSL.jpg)
I would probably sell this one:

That's a great poster, too bad I just bought it. Probably overpaid too. Anyone else interested, don't be afraid to pull the trigger.

That is an 08 NYE poster, and it's definitely legit. You can see it if you go to the "Store" section on this MMJ site on the cover of Event Posters (although none left for sale).
it's listed as 06 on that ebay ad but if you want that one I'd take a gamble on it. For a 415 # run poster, it sure doesn't seem available much. There's one for sale on EB for $100. For it to show up in the list with all these other 08 tour posters (most of which are plentiful many places) seems like a score. Grab one... I did.
The other poster I would recommend on simple collectibility / rarity is the Louisville poster. Sold out most everywhere, incl MMJ store and artist website.
I have spent a LOT of time researching MMJ posters this month. Happy to answer any other questions.

Louisville '08?

That's right- sorry I should have been more clear.
The guy listed 30 different 08 MMJ tour posters on ebay, each 5 - 10 in quantity. I'm pretty sure all but the Louisville and the NYE discussed above are still available at the MMJ store.
I just grabbed the MSG poster off eBay, figured take advantage while its available. Would really like the Burwell version as well. Went to Pearl Jam at MSG last week, was there before Black Keys opened, and posters were sold out already?!?!? Wtf. Frustrating. Is that Nashville one still up for grabs? Headed to Bonnaroo in two weeks hoping to see some nice stuff down there poster wise.

Ah, just curious. I didn't realize it wasn't readily available.
I have an extra Louisville '08 (not signed/numbered) that I got at the show, if anyone wants it.
No offense if this is someone from the forum, but WHY would anyone want to sell this?

There were some folks who got a meet-and-greet with the band at that show and I believe they were given those posters. Maybe not all of the attendees were diehard fans...though I know at least one of our own was there and snagged one. ;) I tried to buy one the next day at Hatch Show Print, but there weren't any left.
I, uh...might have to bid on this. ;D That was a great show.

I'm taking this one, you get next one! ;) will save us both a lot of money!
Aw man!
...flip a coin? ;)
And the coin flip says it goes to me.
Look at what I started.
Why don't we avoid any bad feelings and just have each of you chip in and get it for me. Then we can call it even. Sound good?
because I'm lazy as fuck, are signed posters frequently on ebay? and I agree, why part with it? If not to expensive, I'm totally bidding on this mofo if it's not too much.

I'm now in the habit of checking eBay at least once daily for Omnichords. I always check for MMJ stuff, too. I've only seen 3 signed posters come up. The Nashville one, another with the whole band (can't remember the details), and one that keeps coming back- a "bird surgery" Z Tour poster signed by Jim James. It was recently up for around $50.
Here it is: http://cgi.ebay.com/Signed-In-Person-JIM-JAMES-My-Morning-Jacket-POSTER-/400120904091?cmd=ViewItem&pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item5d2910799b
(http://i.ebayimg.com/16/!Bs14!u!BWk~$(KGrHqEH-DEEv!Mu+TQTBL5khyUgYw~~_3.JPG)
hmmm since I'm not allowed to travel to see them, and apparently we have a Jacket repellent in the 'Lou, I feel I need to get a signed poster. I gonna have to watch the one sign by the whole band. Sigs look authentic.
The "bird surgery" sig looks like a fake to me.
It looks a little weird, doesn't it?
I, uh, I'm pretty sure the Nashville sigs are fake too. Yup. ;)
QuoteThe "bird surgery" sig looks like a fake to me.
The poster claims authenticity with a photo of Jim James "after he signed the poster." Don't see how that seals the deal. What makes you think its fake, or are you (like ALady) trying to throw others off the trail.
;)
Found a cool poster blog. Check it out.
