It doesn't have to be one or the other. I'm be fine with both, and will be in L'Ville for the next run no doubt. Bummed to have missed this one but I just couldn't work out the timing.
One of the great things about the Allman's runs were it was always in March. No speculating about would they do it or when. I met so many people over the years who took some vacation time, or did a few weekends in March type of thing.
They would plan early for flights and places to stay, and it didn't matter which ones, you knew you'd get shows. That whole area on the Upper East side was an Allmans cottage industry for the month. Such a fun time no matter when or how many shows you did, and it worked for so many because it wasn't a hit or miss small run.
They were the first band I knew who did a residency and they were ahead of their time with that. I would love to see our guys do something like that every year, whatever month and however many shows. Eight over two weeks would be a great start with a chance to add more.
Great idea. I hope they do something like this one day too.
Quote from: LBSUNFLWR on Apr 30, 2025, 07:28 AMI've been hoping for Rollin' Back live for years. Part of the reason I had to go all five nights was for the chance to hear Rollin' Back, so it was the obvious highlight for me!!
AEIOU and I Will Be There When You Die were my other best moments.
Still so many songs available for tonight. Hoping to hear Master Plan, At Dawn and Phone Went West tonight.
Wishing for Just One Thing and Where To Begin. ❤️

Quote from: slappymoe on Apr 07, 2025, 03:37 PMtuesday and wednesday shows are not selling as well as one might expect. they've even closed off the upper balcony.getting home around midnight and having the alarm go off at 3:50 for work kinda sucks, but i'm glad i pulled the trigger on nights 4 and 5. doesn't look like either night will sell out, but tuesday certainly wasn't just "half-filled". good crowd, if a bit more subdued.
as of now i'm comfortable with just 3 shows, but the thought of a couple of weeknight shows at a half-filled palace intrigues me.....
