Got my 2 tickets for the Riv in Chicago for saturday April 12th. I got an extra if you want to make that 6 hour Drive South.

hmmm this could work. i could stay with my grandma in milwaukee and go to the show. it is on a saturday. damn it tater this makes sense. how much time do i have to dwell?

Fucking 2 hours to get to work. Normally takes 20-30 minutes. There are some people that just do not know how to drive. People, when it's slushy, freezing rainy out, sleeting, snowing DO NOT GUN IT. The idiot in front of me for 90% of that 2 hour window, sitting in his jacked up 4 Wheel Drive truck, floored it everytime he steeped on his gas and fishtailed. Everytime. Also, just because you have a 1/4 mile or more stretch of open highway doesn't give you free reign to do 90 MPH on a slick highway. Witnessed several fender menders this morning because those said idiots had to slam on their brakes when they caught up with traffic and realized they could easily stop..........

Wilco postponed their concert in Charleston until August 4th. I was extremely excited for this friday, and now, I get to look forward to a six month wait. This should belong in the confessional thread, but the only real concert i've ever been to was a Springsteen show when I was ten. This was going to be my first real concert. And now I have to wait. Six. More. Months. And in 6 months, they won't be playing rarities like now, they'll be playing the same SBS stuff they always do.....oh well..

Just found out Buddy Miles died yesterday. :'(

Ok, so about a year and a half ago a drunk driver hit my car while it was parked on the street. My car came within $40 of being totaled. I was relieved then when I found out it was going to be fixed, but now my car has major engine problems! I'm going to have to spend a few thousand to get it fixed. Now I'm wishing it had been totaled. Damn cars!

On a positive note, I have a mustang for a rental. It's a lot of fun to drive!

sigh....this has been a long week. We've had a conference in town for out Logistics and Warehouse folks. While its nice that they're all in town and I got to finally meet some of them that I've worked with for years, I am so behind in my work because I'm not in my office working. I hate these damn things sometimes.

It's not out of the question that the accident could have caused a problem with the engine.  I wonder if you have any recourse.  I had a similar thing happen to me in college.   My car came within just a few hundered dollars of being totalled and they decided to fix it, well a month later the engine burned up because the oil leaked out of a seal in the engine.  I was too stupid and lazy back then to do anything about it, but I wonder if you can fight that with your insurance company?

You know what really grinds my Gears....Yogurt cups. More specifically the damn plastic or foil barrier they put on them. Everytime I go to open one, some of the delicious dairy treat splatters on me. Inevitable it gets my sleeve or the lower part of my shirt. Now many yogurts are whitish in color. It looks like I was just splashes with a fresh sheen of man gravy either from rubbing bellies with a 6+ ft tall person or there was a handy j goin on.

That's what really grinds my gears...
