i know that there aren´t a lot of soccer fans here...but i´ll try it!! :D

I'm pulling for the English lads this World Cup. They are my #6 favourite national team: Canada, Scotland, Northern Ireland, Ireland, Wales... then England.

SMc55

In internationals I root for England and after them any of the home nations (Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland) then the Republic of Ireland.

England are in the same group as Sven's Sweden then. Interesting.

i think the best matches are always Portugal - England!!!

Euro 2000 Portugal - England 3:2 after a 0:2 (figo´s hammer)
Euro 2004 Portugal - England 3:2 after penalties
i think that was the most exciting match i´ve ever seen!
when ricardo caught wright phillips penalty without gloves!!  :o

i hope that i´ll see portugal playing in berlin and win the cup!! :) their group isn´t that hard. but in the last world cup they really sucked against the usa and korea!

SMc55

God I hate penalty shoot-outs. I can't bear the tension and they don't seem a fair way of settling the result. Portugal are ace. The USA's getting better too. The current England team haven't quite got it together despite having some class individuals.

lampard and terry my favorite players in the english team!
excellent players!!
but i think that brazilwill win this shit again!

The US are shockingly ranked by FIFA at #8, ahead of Italy and the Czech Republic. Ghana is the other team that makes-up Group E. The Yanks have a slim chance of making it to the next round.

Slim to none chance of winning, but could do well. I don't think they'll disgrace themselves. They are improving all the time. I agree with Patches that Brazil have probably the best chance. (I've just watched my team beat Arsenal so I'm happy and in a football mood at the moment ;D

australia has to play brazil in its second match (japan first).... that is going to be a laugh! its great that we got in, but geez, tough draw
love a song for the way it makes you feel
