in the last month, the husband and i have had to closely interact with social security administration, the IRS, dep't of motor vehicles and INS.
i was shocked to be helped by the nicest, most courteous, helpful folks... they get such a bad rap on TV and in the movies, depicted as joy-sucking trolls... my fingerprinting trip to INS was pleasant, even got to watch cartoons.

speaking for all gov't workers I know (myself included), thanks for the kudos.  we're not all phlebitis and pasty skinned coffee suckers.... ;D (some, but not all...)
