there's an interview with jim james on the new no depression. allman bros and lynyrd skynyrd was mentioned numerous times throughout the interview.

Seriously speaking, though, I bet Eno would do MMJ justice as a producer.  His sense of atmosphere and space is really not that far out of line with the wide open sounds of MMJ.  I've thought about it before, and I bet it would be a beautiful collaboration.  Daniel Lanois would be good also.
