The flag of Imperial Japan is without a doubt one of the most beautiful.

edit - after some research, it appears the Japanese military still uses this flag. Very cool.

When I was a kid, probably about 12 or so, I chose Nepal as the country to do a report on for school, based solely on the fact that their flag was cool.

And there's something about seeing a parking lot full of these before a game that gets me fired up. It's like the camp of a marauding horde...
