i remember just a couple month ago... some girl was on the showcase and said my bid is twelve hundred dollars. drew said something like, what did you say? clearly giving her an out. she said again twelve hundred dollars. drew again gave her an out, saying are you sure about that? she said yeah one thousand two hundred, and then she looked at her friends and realized her mistake. she won, and if i was the other person i would have been extremely pissed. three times he gave her an out. i can understand the first time...maybe. but come on three of them things?

i heard some interesting stuff about this episode:  apparently it is common practice for contestants in the showcase to get signals from someone in the audience giving them prices.

cheating.

when this guy's bid came in exact to the dollar the crew thought he'd been cheating.  they finished taping the show but thought it would never air.  that's why drew carey looks less than amazed by the guy's guess, and not terribly enthused at the end of the show.

cheating on The Price Is Right...if that's the case Bob Barker would have whipped that guys ass ala Happy Gilmore....never thought I would see the day when this kinda shit would happen :-/
