I'm kinda thinking that MiB only needs one candidate alive to leave the island... IF all the others (like Sawyer and crew who stole his boat) are dead. Obviously from looking at the walls in the cave and the dial in the lighthouse there have been scores of candidates who have come and gone and died. If any of the candidates on the island now were to die, I think he would only need the remaining ones to leave. He's just protecting all of them to better his odds of getting off the island

Lost is lucky Breaking Bad season 3 is starting kick major ass.   there are "4 episodes left" according to last week.  not sure if that includes the 2-hour series finale.

I'm starting to think Kate and Sawyer are 15/16.  I have no real evidence though other than they always run into each other and bone plus they both met jacob when they were young.  MiB said she wasn't a candidate but that could mean she is simply not one of MiB's candidates or something.  Perhaps Jacob and MiB both need someone to replace them if they die.  

I don't fucking know anymore.
