Season 2 seems to consistently be most people's least favorite, and I didnt like it as much as the first, but its still beyond excellent, grows on you, and gets better as it goes.

I think the best is really personal preference/opinion because they are all fantastic. Most people say 4 is the best. I think 3 is my favorite probably - main people on the rise, main people on the fall, carcetti coming into the picture, and of course, HAMSTERDAM!

And as you go on, youll find out there are too many great characters to pick a favorite. Its more like narrowing it down to 7.

EDIT: with what DB said about 5, I had a problem with a couple storylines and decisions, but I loved the finale and just that episode makes up for what I didnt like because they dont leave any loose ends and make you keep wondering. That would bother me more.

I know me and True were talking about season 5 in some detail not too long ago in this thread (i think), not sure if you were around then or not DB.

Season 2 does get better as it goes, it just takes some time getting used to it and getting to know the characters. It was a brilliant decision to change the way they did as early as they did. It's too hard to pick a favorite season for me. The series finale did make up for season 5, not that I'd consider season 5 bad. Without giving anything away, the finale neatly sums up the underlying theme of the show. It's kind of like a good ending in a movie.
That's motherfuckin' John Oates!

He's my favorite probably, but by the slimmest of margins.

Bodie (who I didnt even like in the first season), Bunk, Stringer Bell, McNulty, Marlo, and Lester Freamon are all right there with him though.

I got my sister into The Wire, she calls me every couple of days after she's watched an episode or 2 & she's all like oh no they didn't  ;) ;D

I've been watching lots of Comedy Central on my parents cable, I don't get Scrubs...am I missing something? That and Two & A Half Men is on more than anything, don't care for that much either...
God will forgive them. He'll forgive them and allow them into Heaven.....I can't live with that.

You are correct sir.

I may have to start calling you as I start Season 2 tonight. I should have bugged you while watching Season 1. The one murder towards the end pissed me off and was heartbreaking.

are you talking about D'angelo? Thats the only one I could think of. The repercussions from it are worth it though. I think thats part of the reason I didnt like Bodie at first, I was kind of rooting for D'angelo

yeah, I think I might have schmucked up. Sorry Koehler if I did, I'll keep my mouth shut or I guess find out what you were talking about first.

Itd probably be better for you to just post spoiler stuff youre talking about since so many of us here have seen the stuff already.

The Wallace thing was tragic, but that just goes with the realism of the show.

no biggie, I know a lot of what happens in the series anyway as a friend at work is a huge fan of the show. I'll forgot anyway ( probably already have as I right this). I have littlerly a million things going through my head, mostly work stuff, so I'm distracted. Wait, WTF are we talking about?

Salvador Sanchez

Anyone else watching Hoarders on A&E? It was mentioned with high regard on The Best Show Tuesday night so I figured I'd give it a try. Pretty gross but intriguing. It's about people that hoard food and other items in their houses over years and what builds up is just a mass heap of garbage. I don't have cable so I downloaded a torrent, worth checking out.

My favorite tv shows are The Wire, Freaks and Geeks, The Office(US & UK), Extras, Friday Night Lights, Peep Show, Summer Heights High & WCBH, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Mr. Show, UCB, Tim and Eric and Human Giant.

Salvador Sanchez

Damn, I just scrolled up. The Wire is my favorite show. There should be a whole thread dedicated to it.

Lots of Wire fans here Sanchez!

My Dad loves Studio 60 & is making me watch it. It's OK I guess but I can't say I'm a fan.

I met Lucy Davis (UK Office, Studio 60) in the Belagio when I was in Las Vegas...
