i loved how Peggy stood up for herself and you know there's gonna be something between Joan and Roger next season. Just can't believe Betsy is off to (Reno?) to get divorced. I'm not sure i like or trust that guy.

Agreed on all counts.  It's odd...on another board I post on, their take was that Peggy was getting too big for her britches and is "snobby" now.  I don't really see it like that...I think she's just figuring out her worth and learning how to negotiate for what she wants in a male-dominated workplace.

I gotta think that Sal will be brought back into the new firm next season...they've got to keep him around for the Stonewall Riots, plus he's just awesome anyway, too much good potential material and storyline with him.

Oh man, I can't believe I forgot about Sal.  I hope he does come back!

QuoteSeason finale thoughts: The scene in which Don and Betty told the kids of their divorce made me cry...

Me too...on both viewings.   :'(  And I don't even have any personal experience with divorce.  It was just sad.  Poor Bobby!

Do y'all think that Don decided to not contest the divorce because he truly wanted Betty to be happy... or because he didn't want the Dick Whitman business to impact Sterling-Cooper-Draper-Price?

I'd say a little of the first, but mostly the second. That was pretty cool when Ol' Man Cooper made Don sign his contract earlier in the season, and (with his insight into Don's background) said something like,"Does it really matter what name you sign?" Ol' Man Cooper's pretty rad.

Hey, do any of you watch Sons of Anarchy??? Other than Mad Men, it's the only show I make an effort to watch regularly. It's so awesome...I'm enjoying this season of SOA more than season 3 Mad Men!

You know, I don't know.  Clearly he doesn't want the divorce, just based on how he was telling the kids that though he was moving out it would only be a temporary arrangement.  But in the end I thought maybe he just realized she was already mentally out the door and there was nothing he could do about it.

I don't think Betty would play the Dick Whitman card, just because she still depends on Don financially (and I think that while Politician Man said he would take care of her and the kids, she doesn't quite trust it yet).

Yeah, he kills me.  His serious demeanor and delivery is what makes it so good.   ;D

Have you seen the most recent installment of Between Two Ferns?  ;D

Finished watching season 3 and 4 of "Supernatural"--Jaimoe, it was better than I remembered.  Going to catch 5 when it comes out on Netflix.

Meanwhile, Fringe and Flashforward continue to entertain until the return of 24 in January!
Sittin' here with me and mine.  All wrapped up in a bottle of wine.

I'm a big fan of Fringe - it gets better as it goes, and it's a mind fuck.

I'm totally loving Season 5 of Supernatural. It's funny and unpredictable. I think it's the best season so far and it delivers in spades week to week, which is something I can't say about most shows on TV.

Can you say Emmy for best new series?! Pit stains at 14 seconds have me sold. Just when you thought MTV had hit rock bottom, they delve deeper towards the Earth's core.

Just wow. I might actually watch it sometime just for some comic relief  ;D
