I've got that too.  I'm hoping they rerelease the gary shandling show. best theme song ever (one of at least).  They released a "best of the rest" collection of larry sanders, I don't know if they're doing that in lieu of releasing the whole thing or what.  I hope they release the whole thing.

Finished season 3 of The Office last night.  The pales-by-comparison, hardly funny, trite, but still better than 90% of what's on television US version of The Office.

Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant crafted perfection, so much so, that the US version doesn't even taint the original for me.

i don't wanna toot my own horn, but brett played at a bar i worked at last year. needless to say, i made him a meat and cheese platter, and some hot dogs. i know...cool.  he stayed on the bus the whole time. he took a shower, went on stage, and then went back on the bus.


but the tv show, i'm not really high on.

Thanks Meg....I just cannot turn away from this train wreck of a show. The liquid vomit squirting from the napkin was just, well, priceless. And the years have NOT been good to Bret. I actually worked with Bret's sister back when I was in High School. Not sure how she ended up being an assistant manager at Blockbuster in the white ghetto of north Omaha. She was my boss. She was cool and so was Bret. He called a few times to talk to her. She was tan, blond, and liked to play softball  ;) ;) ;) :o

But yeah, a Christmas Special is coming and will be the end of Extras.  If it's even one hundredth as good as The Office's, which I consider to be the best finale/special/episode ever aired on television, I'll be satisfied.

My wife's a big fan. Having seen Hugh Laurie in numerous shows in the UK I can't get past his US accent & haven't given the show much of a chance.

his accent is dead-on, i think.  i hadn't seen him before house, so when I saw him on conan i was blown away by his actual speaking voice.

the wife's way more into than I am, but I like it because it's not like most other tv dramas.  there's not always a happy ending, the main character is a complete asshole, not all that attractive, and a drug addict.  i kinda dig that.

does anybody else watch mad men on amc? i love this show. it is about advertising execs on madison avenue back in the early '60's.

and it is a great show.

i wish the costume designer would give me one of each of the dresses the ladies wear.

i've also been watching the ken burns documentary "the war." it is on pbs this week. you should check it out.

so my cable provider decided to take a couple channels off. G4TV, but the big one is Game Show Network. i watched GSN a lot. i'm a little upset.
