Its Always Sunny this week was absolutely hilarious....when Mac roundhouse kicks the car..oh man I was dying.  I can't get enough of this show.

Well its official:  The Shield has supplanted The Sopranos as the best show TV has produced--this based on my quest to see it all from Pilot to finale (courtesy of Netflix of course).
Sittin' here with me and mine.  All wrapped up in a bottle of wine.

Havent seen this season of The Shield yet, got it on DVR, but you should watch The Wire

I thought nothing could supplant The Sopranos until I watched The Wire

Shield is solid, but I dont think the character development/depth is up to most premium channel shows. I still love it though

True Blood only gets better and better.

I got the latest Family Guy DVD in the post a couple of days ago.
Man, that show just isn't funny anymore...at all  :(
God will forgive them. He'll forgive them and allow them into Heaven.....I can't live with that.

Anyone watching The Brotherhood?

http://www.aintitcool.com/node/38953

Entertainment Weekly gives season three an "A-minus" and says:

... If Brotherhood isn't as brilliant as The Wire, it's just as believable. The cast is so solid, you'd never guess they hail from England (Isaacs), Australia (Clarke), Ireland (Flanagan), Hollywood royalty (Gish), and bad teen comedies (the spectacular Embry). They feel like they've always been sitting in this sad little corner of Providence, waiting for the show to start. ...

The Associated Press says:

... splendid drama ... There's high-rev conflict and violence in "Brotherhood," and that keeps it exciting. But it's grounded in realism any viewer will already know and recognize as truth. ...

The New York Times says:

... begins its third exceptional season ... Among its many virtues, "Brotherhood" isn't in the business of life lessons.

The Philadelphia Daily News says:

... "Brotherhood," like "The Wire," is a story about how things actually work in places where the politics is nearly always personal and the personal nearly always political. ... based on the two episodes I've seen, this season, a rebuilding one for several characters, seems to be taking a less sudsy approach, focusing instead on the devilish details of how the system works (and doesn't) that can only make "Brotherhood's" realpolitik that much more real. ...

Variety says:

... a gritty, competently executed, occasionally gripping crime series that never quite rises to the lofty pay TV standards established by "The Sopranos" and "The Wire." ...
God will forgive them. He'll forgive them and allow them into Heaven.....I can't live with that.

The Wire is a ridiculously good show...I became obsessed with it...I had to go out and buy all the DVD's.  Sheild has also been great this year.  I like the Sopranos but Six Feet Under is my favorite HBO show ever but the Wire came pretty close.

It still has its moments, but the show is more hit-and-miss, more miss actually, since it came back.

I for one am mourning the cancellation of the best satire about suburban life: King of the Hill. At least the show goes out without going down-hill, unlike The Simpsons and Family Guy. Why? KOTH kept the same producers, writers and directors from Day One, which kept everything pretty consistent integrity and humour-wise. Sure it wasn't roaring funny (although it could be too) with cheap one-liners; their comedy came from character development and real-life situations.

Good news is that Mike Judge has a new animated show starting up in the New Year.

FACE

I CAN'T BELIEVE NO MORE KING OF THE HILL!!
JERKS!

dragonboy

That's a real shame, I love KOTH!!!

The only upside to this is series 7+ might finally get released on DVD. Fox announced a while ago that the DVDs weren't selling & that there were no plans to release any more DVDs...I've been waiting for series 7 for ages  >:(

There's still hope for King of the Hill at ABC. Fuck you Fox:

I think I might enjoy How I Met Your Mother if it wasn't for that f*cking laugh track (or whatever)!!!

I'm sure some of you have seen this show; comes on right after Entourage. I think it's fucking hysterical. If you haven't heard of, or seen, this then I highly recommend it.
