did/do any of y'all ever watch the hbo series, the wire? brad got the series on dvd a few weeks ago and i am HOOKED.

Theres a handful or so of people who swear by The Wire.

Its definitely my favorite TV drama - and I didnt think anything would beat The Sopranos before I started watching it - and IMO the most well done TV ever.

Im jealous you get to watch it for the first time

love the wire! i'm on season 3 right now. it just keeps getting better. i think my favorite character thusfar is omar.

I cant pick a favorite character to be honest, theres just too many great ones, but Omar is at the top of the list.

So I didnt check out the Letterman from yesterday until now, but even with his carpet breakdown and saying hes done, then the leaked rap from a club, this is still surprising.

Kinda fun to watch, but it's sad to see his current state when I remeber is superb performance in Walk the Line  :(

I'm looking forward to that movie Two Lovers, as White Nights is such a wonderful book, and I think that Joaquin Phoenix is ideal for that character.

we spent all of saturday watching season 4, and i loved it. i felt so sorry for prez. i now have 3 favorites: omar, prez, and "the bunk."

Conan's last week before taking over for Leno. I'm gonna try to watch every night since I've been neglecting Conan (been busy watching as many movies as possible).  White Stripes perform the last night, thursday. I'm not looking forward to this, I like how it is with the guests he has on and the great bands. I assume he'll have more mainstream celebrities and shitty music now.

Edit: i guess its friday, not thurs. Just saw The White Stripes thread got bumped.

So whats happening to Leno? Is he just quitting the biz or what? By the way Conan was talking on friday, it sounded like Leno was still going to be doing something.

And he probably will have to have some bigger acts the week before or of their album being released, but Im sure hell still have plenty of smaller acts. Its not like it matters to them if theyre on the day before their cd drops, theyll be happy just to be on.

Conan should have MMJ on for his 1st week in latenight primetime  :D

Something about anxiety, I don't remember them getting too specific. I don't think thats her in the video, but I haven't heard her deny it.

Meg developed a phophia while on tour. She started getting anxiety attacks when on stage and couldn't tour anymore.

king of the hill is my favorite tv show right now.
i have been laying on my living room floor for close to three days because of this spinal tap, but i'm lucky to have this dvr stuff. recorded alllll KOTH and i am loving it. only thing keeping me going.

Not to put a damper on your rightful assessment of the greatness of King of the Hill, but Fox cancelled the show. There's only a few new ones left - and boy does the show look great in HD. ABC may pick it up though since Mike Judge has a new animated series ready to premiere soon.

Ive been turned on to that show in the last year or so too. I shouldve figured is was funny because most stuff with Charlie Sheen cracks me up.

Its on at 9PM here, so I guess youre on mountain time?? central time I didnt mind having it an hour earlier, but having 8PM EST stuff on at 6 seems like a big difference. I thought once you got to MST they didnt start earlier, just normal EST starting time but in your own time zone, ie shows that start at 8PM EST start at 8PM MST

Nah, I'm in northern Cali.  Pacific Time.  Its on from 7:00 to 8:00 in syndication on our fox TV channel and then prime time at 8:00 on Mondays.

Methinks Charlie Sheen is right at home in this role.  ;)
