QuoteNew season of Californication starts end of september!

New season of Curb sometime this fall!

woohoo!

Did we talk about the Curb "Sienfeld Reunion" theme of this upcoming season already?  I can't remember where I read that.

Def not here, but I read that.

I thought it was just 1 episode though, not like a theme for the whole season. Either way, jawesome.

i am really looking forward to the peggy storylines, but no predictions....except i hope betty gets into more mischief :-) i am debating getting rid of my cable so i may have to watch it on hulu if it's offered. i'm trying to trim the fat on my bills! mad men and IASIP were the only reasons i was keeping it.

but yes, can't wait too! haven't even seen trailers yet!
but come on...there's nothing sexy about poop. Nothing.  -bbill

i wonder if they'll skip another year or two. i think season 2 "began" a year or so after season one left off.

can't wait to see what peggy and joan are up to... and if don is still at sterling cooper/putnam, powell, and lowe...

I'm very pleased that Fox has decided to produce a real finale for King of the Hill, the most consistent of all the long-running comedies currently on TV. The hour-long finale will air on September 13th... I tell you whut.

After not seeing a single episode of Lost in my whole life, I'm now watching the first season. I'm wondering why I have never watched a minute of this amazing show in the past five years it's been airing. I'm really loving it.

I love LOST so freaking much!  We have a Lost thread, but do yourself a favor and check that thread once you get through season 5.  Spoilers galore (which take the fun out of the storytelling).

Oh Sun & Moon, how I envy you. To go back and watch this show with fresh eyes.

No Reservations has been good, as always, this season. He did San Fran this past week. sigh. It was like waving a steak in from of a starving carnivore. I really need to make it back there. His wit, and cynical barbs, are as sharp as ever.

QuoteShe is Bill's maker! sooo excited to see how this turns out.

Ahhhhhh!  Now that makes sense.

I have some Trueblood questions....

Why did Godric do that to himself? I thought he was just fired as sheriff? Did he do that to make amends?

How can Bill bite Sookie and she not "turn?" I never really got that.  :-?

I believe Godric was just tired of being undead...he seemed rather resigned to dying for the few episodes he was in.

Has Bill bitten Sookie on the neck before?  If not, maybe it's the fact that he bites her on the wrist only?

That sacrifice tower Maryann built was making me way nauseated...even worse was the buzzing fly noise you could hear in the background while it was being erected.  Blech!
God sure baked a lot of fruitcake, baby.

Ok. I liked Godric, but that makes sense. Bill bit Sookie on the neck way early on in the series and I've wondered ever since.
Everything with Maryann stresses me out....  :(

To turn a human, a vamp has to drain the human of basically all of his/her blood until the human is at the point of death, at which point the human drinks the vamps blood. Then they have to lie underground overnight.  So, vamps can feed off humans and not turn them.

The drain and drink method is pretty "standard" in the vamp fiction/folklore.

Yeah, I know I'm way late in the game here. Season 1 of the Wire was beyond good. Waiting for disc 1 of Season 2 to arrive. Because I'm too f'n lazy to look back through this thread, which is the best season? I was just totally blown away by 1 and if it only gets better, well hell.

The Wire is the best TV show ever put on television, and each season gets better than the last. When The Wire ended, I had my TV service stopped because there was longer any point - but that's just my understated opinion.

1 & 2 are my favourites but they're both quite different & 2 might seem a little slow at first after 1. 3 & 4 are in 2nd place, with 5 a slightly disappointing finish IMO. Don't get me wrong, it's still excellent & far better than anything else on TV but one of the storylines just didn't sit right with me.
God will forgive them. He'll forgive them and allow them into Heaven.....I can't live with that.
