Real love really does seem simple to me. It's just our human tendencies to add all this extra baggage to it.

Right now, I'm on the outside looking in at a relationship. I'd look elsewhere, but this girl really does seem one-of-a-kind to me. I can't really get in the way of it, nor do I want to, because they're both my friends. It's been going on for six months now here also, and I'm really not sure what to think anymore.

but love wouldn't exist without humans, as we defined it. ultimately, 'real love', as you're defining it, doesn't exist because we are humans. and we do add this baggage, always. i'm learning that nothings perfect.

I agree, nothing's perfect with humans, especially in relationships. But I've also found that in the best relationships, even though the baggage is still there, its just the simple connection that shines through. The extra shit only begins to matter when the true, pure part is weak. Relationships are complicated, but love is just a connection.

It turns out that the forementioned relationship actually just ended. So sure, there's gonna be a lotta crap going on over the next week or two, but it's better then waiting six months for a relationship to end.  :)

Good performance from Reading on that last match, but it ended up not being enough.

Yes, a case of too little too late...one upside (for my folks anyway) is that Reading are now in the same league as Norwich where both of sisters live.

Oh I wish I could, I love my Uncle and hate to see him go through this again (my aunt died 13 years ago).  Unfortunately, his lady friend is now in Hospice care.  Thanks for the well wishes (and for a little giggle about being the wizzard...laughter is always good in sad times).

Thanks so much.  I have been in this position many times now...and only clocking into my 3rd decade, well, death needs to give me and my loved ones a break for a chance.  so yeah, she passed today.  Surrounded by her kids, grandkids, and her companion (my uncle).  Tough.
I bought him the most amazing book tonight.  I have been so unfortunate to loose quite a few friends during my twenties.  'The Tibetan Book of Living and Dying' by Sogyal Rinpoche saved me each and every time.  I am hoping that it can provide him solace in this diffucult time.
