QuoteOur drive to Nashville on Sunday took 11 hours (2-3 more than it should have).  It was semi- snowy/rainy yesterday and now that its time to drive back home, the sun is out and it looks like it could be a nice day.  Hopefully the drive home doesn't take as long.

Also, driving a stick shift in Nashville sucks.  SUCKS SUCKS SUCKS!

Hahahaha, I absolutely the love how shitty Nashville traffic is for absolutely no good reason at all. Atlanta traffic runs smoother than Nashville for some reason. It's like no one understands how to commute there or something. Still though, that's one of those quirky things you miss after you're gone, only because it's so damn ridiculous. Like 65 moving at 15mph southbound at the Demonbreun exit at 3pm on a Saturday. No sense whatsoever.

The only time I really had problems with traffic in Nashville was Monday around 5pm, but I expected that.  When we were driving down, it took like 4 hours to get through Kentucky.  It was fun game of seeing how long it would to get to third gear.

The DARK

There have been so many goddamn teen suicides over the past few months in the Charleston area (and I get a feeling it's not limited to that). Most of them seemed fairly normal, and a lot of my friends were close to them. I'm really at a loss for words right now.

For no apparent reason I've been sleeping in far too much for the past week or so (when I can).  For example, today I didn't rise until shortly after 3.   :-/

I should have read a plot summary first instead of going into it blind. The story itself is actually pretty good even though that first chapter sent me for a loop.

this is probably my 2nd favorite faulkner novel. it's fascinating--once you get past some of the stylistic issues/sentences that go on for more than 2 pages.

if you like faulkner, read a light in august. that's my favorite of his novels. a bit easier to read, too...

I was just thinking the same thing, and how I wished I was in tomorrowland like DB, where Thursdays evenings are really Friday nights.
Evey: Are you, like, a crazy person?
V: I am quite sure they will say so.

That really sucks. I remember a couple times pouring kool-aid into my cereal too (same principle as the anti-fungal cream-toothpaste, but not as bad). :-[
That's motherfuckin' John Oates!

Well, I have to come clean.  Saying there was no milk was a half-truth.  There was milk but it had been sitting on the back porch for a while (still haven't figured out why) and I hate when milk is slushy.

Me neither. I just don't understand HSM at all. I always thought high school was all about bad lunch, bad math, and infidelity?

Ok, so it's colder then a well diggers ass here right now. The cold is make my knees hurt worse. I had my MRI on Friday and I should hear from the Doctor this week...I hope. This is getting sad. I sit for 10 minutes and try to get up and look like an old hobbling around. Ugh, I miss summer already.

Yeah. In no way is he attractive...

And my high school was not like that at all.

You're right...it did ease up a little. Breaking it down in class helped me to 'get it' more so than when I was reading it.
