For my wife actually. Air Canada have changed the fight schedule so she gets into Las Vegas @ 8pm something instead of 4pm something + she has to go via SF. I just bought her a direct flight with Philippine Air, hence more money.

I saw this really great looking guy tonight. Subtle, easy smile amid this fantastic beard. He walked out the door and I should have followed him after he smiled at me. I didn't and he was gone.

I hesitate too much. That's my complaint.

QuoteAnother weird one. Not really sure where to put this, but I think we had a dreams thing in here the other day, so I'll post mine.

Last night I went to sleep for a little while and had this dream that I had asked my friend Caroline to crack my back (I have this weird crick next to my right shoulder blade that just needs someone to stand on it). But anyways, she does and that's awesome, but then she rubs my back and it's not a sexual thing at all, but that kind of touch that's absolutely electric because of all the love encapsulated in it. That kind of thrilling, first time you get close to someone feeling. Don't know how to describe it any better than that it sends electric goosebumps and flutters through you because of the way you'd hoped someone would know how to get close to you, and then there it is. And I guess we fell asleep right there or something. I briefly remember a next day, but then was woken up far too early by an intense need to pee.

Commence empty, hopeless romantic feelings for the rest of the day. I wish that would mean something. Six days til she makes her way to Athens. I have no idea if I should even wonder about expecting anything, but that dream screws with my head so badly.

You never know what kind of dreams she's having....

Sometimes all we need is a little confirmation that we're not barking up the wrong tree. No need to be straight up aggressive, but as a dude who's been smiling to a fair number of smiley ladies lately, I'm pretty sure all it'd take is a lip-bite or a wink or something quick and totally "I did not!" if questioned about it. At least that's what I'd suggest. We still like to pursue, even in the 21st century, we just take a little bit of a green light sometimes.

For the second, and hopefully last time this week, I briefly thought I had broken one of my thumbs at work.

QuoteMy bum knee is buggin me really bad. It actually has been since this spring but it's now to the point that doing any cardio work is excruciating, I've actualy stumbled walking down stairs recently (that might be the booze or old age  :-/), and I cannot sit/stand on my knees. Going to the Doctor Saturday morning. I really hope it's not another surgery. This would be the 2nd in the last 3 years.
OK, so the results are back and they are not good. I have another appointment next week and more xrays/MRI's to find out what the hell is wrong. Something degenerative as the nurse said when they called to set the appointment. They wouldn't give me a lot of details but my Dr. office is always busy and it almost impossible to get an appointment without several weeks notice. I'm worried since they are getting me in so quick.

As in early in the week or early in the day?

Actually, nevermind, it's not early in the week.  Apparently it's Thursday and I had no idea.  The whole week has felt like a giant blur.

I work the graveyard shift at Fed Ex.  31 months of working roughly 2:30-8am.

As for my thumbs, one no longer feels like there's hot nails being driven into the joint and no longer hurts.  The other is stiff, swollen, and a little bruised.  Good thing I have to go start recording bass tracks tonight...    ::)

I love my '01 Corolla to death, but she has her faults. I bought the car, it came with an alarm system but no keyless entry. So I thought it would never be an issue. Well, my alarm went off today in the parking lot at school, and there was nothing I could do to fix it. I've searched all over the web for a cure but can't find this goddamn "valet/override" switch that keeps getting mentioned. I was trying to go home tomorrow after my last exam, and unless it resolves itself, I'll here at least a few more days. Damn you Toyota!
Evey: Are you, like, a crazy person?
V: I am quite sure they will say so.

Weather forecast for the St Louis are isn't looking good. Sunday it's supposed to get up to about 65 then within minutes drop below freezing. They're expecting winds clocking in at 65 knots. Freezing rain and snow for Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday. Lovely, just f'n lovely. This happened a few years ago and crippled the area. Good thing I trimmed some trees back and the powerlines to my house are underground.  :-/
