my complaint: being homesick. i love my new job; it's great to be near brad, and t'town is a cool place to live, but i miss my friends so much. it sucks hearing about all the things they've done and i've missed out on. and it's so hard to make new friends here, b/c all i ever do is work. i just feel lonely a lot. i don't know how to deal with it, either.

Thanks, Mega.  Have you thought about volunteering?  When I moved, I wasn't working and I don't have children (which seems to help people naturally meet others).  I made a lot of good friends by volunteering.  Check to see if your town has a volunteer clearinghouse.  Best of luck!

Been planning for 3 weeks to go to the Pirates game tonight since my boy is in town for the weekend (for his niece's baptism tomorrow).

Been great weather all week, except for today. Cloudy all day so far, and 50% chance of scattered thunderstorms from 7PM-9PM (and judging by the radar, Id say they look like 100%).  >:(

But we both just said fuck it and are going to get there 3 hours early to tailgate in the lot anyway. I refuse to let rain ruin my day. F U Rain!!  [smiley=bath.gif].

I dont think my sister is going anymore though and she was our DD  :'(

Would you ever relocate back to the UK? Both my best friend and closest cousin have lived in Japan for almost 2 decades and they are increasingly disconnected with the "real world."

If my friend's Japanese wife could survive in Canada, I think they'd emmigrate. Her English is good, but her grasp of slang and North American culture is subpar at best.

Hang in there db. You are doing just fine where I'm sitting and you aren't old and anything can happen regarding your future endeavors.

My wife's English isn't very good + she has an excellent job here so we're stuck for the time being.

Im sure that does suck being so far away from family/relatives, but it seems like you have plenty of good things going for you so it could be worse.

Jaimoe is right on too in that you have plenty of time to move back there again. Based on what you said maybe itll be later rather than sooner, but Im sure the opportunity to move back will still be there down the road when it might be easier to make that decision.

Don't know if this is a Complaint or a Joy. I get home, and the boy informs me he wants a haircut. He hasn't had one in 1-1/2 years. Going shortly. He was a trend setter at school this year. Now half the kids have '70's style long hair.  :-/
