QuoteInsomnia. Anyone have any good remedies?

I had insomnia issues in grad school:

Valerian Root is a good thing to try

Rescue Remedy helps me relax

Kava

chamomile tea

Lavender anything always helps with relaxation

If you are into essential oils you can pick up peace & calming, joy, lavender, and a bunch of others that will help you. Sometimes I mix different ones together for my own scents. You can place drops on a cotton ball and place it next to your bed or rub some oil on the bottom of your feet. That is the best place for the oil to be absorbed into your body. I keep one of these handy for all purposes: http://www.youngliving.com/essential-oil-collections/Essential-7

I'm NOT a fan of big pharma, but if no natural remedies will help a very low dosage of Xanax should do it. Good luck..insomnia is NOT cool.

Thanks Soulshine!

I couldn't get the melatonin as Penny had suggested so I've gone with a nice little herbal blend which includes Valerian. Looking forward to trying it out tonight... fingers crossed it works.

No problem-0...the most important thing is to stop your mind from working overtime. Concentrate on the in and out of your breath. I hope you find some relief.

Let see, last night started out great with a fantastic workout (burning over 900 calories), then it turned south. Headache hit about bedtime, its colder then a well diggers ass right now, I woke up with worse headache, I ate breakfast and have already had a second (THAT'S RIGHT MARK, THE RETURN OF 2 BREAKFAST KOEHLER), I had to jump start my car and FIL's car because is so f'n cold, and I have shit to do at work. Today is just gonna suck. I want to go back to bed, under the 4 blankets and the electric blanket cranked to max.
