Quotejust heard back about my MRI. i tore cartilage in my knee and have to see an orthopedic surgeon monday.

WEAK.
Sorry to hear. You'll do fine. I had a chunk of my miniscus removed and bounced back quickly.

Get well Meg....I messed up my knee pretty bad a couple years ago, to the point where it was very swollen and I had limited range of motion for a week or so. I thought I tore a ligament because of how bad it was. Im guessing I partially tore some cartilage or a meniscus, but I never got it checked out. Although I couldnt flex my knee the entire way for a few months (at least) after that, its basically where it was before outside of some soreness after a lot of exercise.

So good thing its quite possible you wont need any invasive procedures done

I just got ripped off by the gas station clerk. I went online and checked the powerball numbers, and I know I had the powerball and one other number. Yeah, 4 dollars, but did she have to do that to a guy?  [smiley=thumbdown.gif]

That smarts!  And I know that.  I'm always pissed when the dentist gets done jacking me up and they're all like "that'll be $400!"  Like adding insult to injury.

This is why I haven't been to the dentist in a couple years, despite knowing I have cavities.

The husband of one of my employees died last night.  They had just celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary.  They had no children - just each other.

My heart broke a little today.

That's really sad, Lucy. I'm wishing all the best for everyone that was affected.  I wish I could do more.

On what?! Did you get a new set of teeth?

Ha, no - just had a crown and a filling replaced.  It's been a while since I've needed any dental work done (almost ten years?), so I suppose it was just time?   ;D  Still...sheesh!

Wow, that sounds like more than that should cost...maybe your dentist needs to rip off the patients to afford all the extra nitrous he's huffing

Crowns are pretty expensive, I think my insurance covered half or so.  I did upgrade to some kind of fancy crown, so that affected the price (I'm such a sucker   ;D).

Since I don't have much trouble with my teeth, I get the cheapest dental plan my employer offers, mostly just to cover the 6 month checkups/diagnostic x-rays and basic stuff.  Of course, the flip side of that is that whenever there's actually something wrong, it costs me some scratch...but so far that hasn't happened too often (knock on wood)   ;D

Not a complaint necessarily...I miss my family and friends...it is what it is.
