I'm not dealing with my wife's decision to try a trial separation too well. I'm also not feeling to good about my sister's health issues(which are extremely serious and probably fatal). Let's just say I'm having a bad time of it. That is all. You guys and gals are all awesome and I value my time on this board.

Thanks everyone. Sorry I aired out some of my troubles last night, but I was going through a moment of weakness and sadness. I am not depressed though, just scared, sad and angry (and conflicted). My wife wanted a trial separation with the intention of us healing our relationship. I hope this works out. Let's just say that she has no allies in her decision, including family. We remain great friends and she lives right up the street from me; I can see her apartment building from my balcony. As for my sister, she has been dealing with stomach and intestinal issues for over a decade, but the doctor's haven't been able to treat her. She is very under-weight, which can lead to strokes etc...

New songs were great live. The new album closer is just massive live. The acoustic set was indescribable. There were maybe 50 people there for it at best. Lots of stuff from Howl. I think at one point I had to change my shorts. Got to meet Robert and Peter and get a poster signed. They just epitomize cool, at least to me. really nice guys, willing to meet people, talk, take pics, etc. I was totally man crushing :-[

Been in tears most of today.  I learned that a friend of mine and fellow Jacket fan is in really bad shape.  His heart is failing.  His kidneys are shot.  He's in the hospital and is really pissed off that he will miss MMJ at Jazz Fest.  ;)

He's scheduled to have surgery on Monday to help his heart function.  If you have a chance, please think a good thought for my friend Dave.
