does this lockdown official ever go on any events with her girlfriends or anything? Other then drinks once in a while, no she obviously doesn't want to go with you? It'd be cool if there was some psychological reason she is making you stay home that you could adjust.  Like is she telling you she doesn't want you to go because she doesn't understand why it's worth it to spend that much money to see a band that many times? Pretty much Does she give you any bullshit about "You're too old for this shit" or something degrading your passion? No, thankfully. The balding spot is enough reminder thank you If so, I think you deserve to go to T5 and I will brainstorm ways to manipulate your wife for you if you want.  It sounds bad but we gotta get you to T5, you've been thru too much.  

alright does your with go on canoe trips or go up north or for weekend getaways with friends ever? No  if not you should suggest this to her immediately.  Some people just don't understand why certain things are so important, especially when it comes to truly loving music or a specific band.  This a wise man told me in the hospital.  Perhaps hope is lost for this weekend in new york.  You're alive now, if you're alive the day of the concert with nothing to do you should like go to it... why sit at your house?  That's all we ever do.

Already tried that There are always options or compromise if it's truly something you love.  These show are as important as your first born child, remember that.  And be safe and if you she serves you papers it's not my fault these are merely suggestions... mjk - i feel for you, really i do.  i know that marriage and relationships are total give and take, and compromise all the time.  
and i know it's not as simple, as just booking the flight and buying the tix..sounds like there would be total fallout from that....

i hope that you can both come to some sort of common ground about having fun and enjoying the ride a little bit more....why not take her out on a "date" and do some things that interest her a little bit ? sometimes it's easier to "roll" with resistance, than to meet it head on..
and by no means am i suggesting to take her out as a manipulative/getting your way thing....seriously, just to do some things that are fun for her (and hopefully you too).  you need some mutually enjoyable activities..

then, who knows....maybe she would be a little bit happier and may see your point of view a little bit more   ;)

Mjk, I gifted tickets to my Brooklyn host and her husband for the Z and Evil Urges shows.  He is now talking about going to see Phish those nights.  So at the very least, I have 1 extra ticket for those shows (she is undecided right now, but I may have both tix available).  I also have extra's for Tennessee Fire and At Dawn because my own husband can't make it due to school (he will join as of It Still Moves).  So in the words of my husband, "I'm not sayin', I'm just sayin'"...I have extras with your name on them if it can work out.

If I suddenly came into a bundle of money I would kick you down a good amount. Not only so you could quit your job, but so you could pack up the wife & a bunch of her friends for NYC. They could do their thing, you could do yours and all would be right in the world.  :)

my facebook page got disabled by glenn beck fans when I was protesting his joke of a rally.  what a fucked up world we live in.  good thing the account was made purely for talking about politics.  it's travesty tho.  all I said was that they are all a bunch of evil mother fuckers and if jesus came back they would disgust him.  I don't think that's THAT bad considering the drivel they spew.  oh well, facebook is a piece of shit anyway.  talk about a website with security issues that gives out way too much personal information.
