Thanks all. I've only been doing the walking a few weeks now but yesterday was the first day a dog I had been walking got re-homed. It's a good feeling and makes up for the difficult part of visiting the dogs in the kennels.

Trouble is I wanna take all the dogs home with me! Except I know it will have to wait until later in life when I hopefully don't have to work!

First day of Spring Break!  Ahhh... New Hampshire.

The fact that my heart's beating is all the proof you need.

Nice driveway! ;)

I hear you about the weather though. We didn't get any snow here at the shore in Jersey(like how I worded that?),but it sure was  chilly. 46 degrees and windy yesterday, and rain today.

Hope the rest of your break is better.

The Conservative Party won in a majority in tonight's Canadian election. This is bad news for democracy. One great thing is the New Democrat Party became the official opposition for the first time in Canadian history. I feel a little sick and a little ok.

Work (like that's anything new). Been working 60-70 hours the last month or so. I'm not allowed to even apply for a new role at this point as my bosses are not allowing me to move on because they cannot afford to lose my expertise. They are even making jokes about it. So sick of this shit. My bosses boss won't do anything about it either.

Also, when the fuck did being salary mean you are expected....I mean required to work more then 40 hours. Why should I have to pull double duty, without a raise or a bonus, because I'm surrounded by a bunch of goldbricks.

Oh lord this sounds familar. It's almost as if salary is a trap. Sure, you're guaranteed the same amount of $ no matter what you work in your pay period. But you can be sure your boss / superior will take all sorts of advantage of you. Keep your head up, man! I'm sure there are positions outside of your current employer that will appreciate the hell out of your commitment & not work rape you constantly.

This is almost like a joy + a complaint. On 1 hand, I got thru both of the 7 week courses this semester after having to wait a year to get back in the program. :bath:

I had to wait a year because I missed the first couple "clinical days" last year because I was sick (and March-May is the only time the class is offered). First day was basically syllabus day except 8 hours long, next day we were actually in the hospital. Despite it being the beginning of the semester and me not having my prof's contact info, they still thought I shouldve got a hold of her somehow and informed her why I wasnt there. End result, I had to withdraw from school because she was going to automatically fail me and I couldnt get my degree without this course, and it made more sense to come back now since once Id graduate Id still have to pass state boards and all the info would be fresher. (Silver lining - if I didnt have to withdraw, I wouldve still been in school last year, and T5 wouldve been impossible  8)).

...So today I take my last final, and I have to sign off on the same professor's clinical review of me (even though this class was community health, so she was never around me except once a week for lecture). She said that she thought I had an attitude problem, but she didnt want to put that in on my review and fail me because of it. I asked what kind of attitude problem, and she said I was "flippant" among other things which apparently means "lacking proper respect or seriousness", and said I would show up to class right before it started and acted like she should be happy I was there. Man, I almost "flipped" out on her, but thankfully kept my composure (This was after finding out she gave me a 75% on our community assessment which the class avg was over 90%, and took a ridiculous amount of time, as well). Sure, I didnt arrive 10 minutes early every class, but I also got to class on time and didnt miss any classes. Its school, not work, since when was arriving 5-10 minutes early protocol? Also, you think I have an attitude problem? No shit I have an attitude problem, you are the sole reason I had to leave school and wait an entire year to get back into the program and finally get into a career where Im making solid money. And its not like I dont think she kept her first impression of me from last year fresh in her mind, I pretty much guarantee that, because my "attitude problem" sounds like her perception, not something I actually did/am doing. Its all good in the end (for now), but damn, what a frustrating 10 minutes. I'll admit Im never going to be that person who shows up early everyday, is chock full of questions for you, has my clothes freshly ironed, etc, but I still cant believe she had the audacity to say that to me after making me basically take a year of my life to do nothing but wait to get back to school because she was going to fail me for missing a couple classes. My #1 goal in life is getting my degree and RN licensure, my #2 goal very well might be impregnating her daughter so some part of me will be around her for the rest of her waking life.

/end rant.  :)

Gracias!, except thats the last final until 3 months from now when my next courses end. Got a couple 7 week freshy courses starting monday. So much for summer break!

Yeah, I wish I was around here more, but school has taken over my life. I also still have succussfully held out on listening to the new album though, so maybe its a good thing. There's a few people I talked to today that said its undoubtedly the Jacket's worst album though, which has me itching to listen. Say it aint so!?!?!

I've struggled with my own personal stance in the past on the subject of the death penalty.   But when I read things stories like this, and realize that I have to contribute my taxes to what could turn out to be over a million dollars for a devil like this, it makes me extremely angry.   There has to be a better way.

Outside of Missouri and Illinois, you may have never heard of Chris Coleman or his story.  And let me tell you, you are better off not knowing.    Just know that he is guilty of the most heinous premeditated crime that you could possibly imagine and leave it there.   Your mind will be a better place not reading about it.  This article is just a short snipit of the annual cost of housing a prisoner.

I'm fairly close to this as this POS has been housed 1/2 mile from my house and every news crew has been driving by my palace on the way to the courthouse. I have no issues with the death penalty. Use it. Since we conveniently decided not to here in IL, send his ass to Joliet and let him get shived to death. fucker.

My dumbass got stuck by a century plant in my knee a few weeks ago.  My knee started bothering me and has continually been getting worse.  I finally went to get it checked out yesterday and now I'm waiting to be admitted for surgery to flush it out  And... I apparently can't leave until Sunday at the earliest so they can monitor the infection.   I am majorly bummed.  I can't say I'm not looking forward to that morphine drip, though.  Mmmmm.  :coffee:
