I feel bad for complaining, but coming back to work after 10 days off is rough.

I just got word that the son of a very, very good family friend has passed away.  Last night in his sleep.  He was in a half-way house after completing a 6 month rehab for his heroin addiction, so I fear a relapse/OD is the cause.  This is the 3rd person in my life who I have lost to heroin. 
I was planning on checking up on him during the Red Rock's shows, as he was living in the Boulder area.  We were going to take him out for a stylin' dinner in honor of his sobriety.
I am so heartbroken for his mom and dad (only child of his mom's) as well as his aunts, uncles and grandparents.  They are all extended family to me and really....this is tough.

very sad, so sorry to hear that.  That drug makes me want to cry.  I've lost 2 friends as well, and yet another is currently incarcerated in GA and will be in there for many many years, if not the rest of his life.  I just don't get it.

Coworkers that disappear from their desks for 30 mins at a time, tell you to tell their boss (who sits 5 feet away) that theyll be right back (only if they ask), and then goes telling others they're so busy they cant even leave their desk to go pee.  :-\
