That was just hilarious.   ;D

if it falls apart or makes us millionaires

Although its 2-0, first 2 games were very good.

Hope this ends up being a long series although right now it looks like a mirror image of teh WCF with CHI being slightly better most of the games and winning by a goal

Did any of the American rags and sportscasts pick up this story? Hockey Night in Canada's host, Ron Maclean, helped save a man from drowning in the Delaware River on Thursday, with Don Cherry in-tow: http://www.cbc.ca/sports/hockey/story/2010/06/03/sp-maclean-rescue.html

I havent heard anything about that story, but I dont watch much sports TV or read ESPN.com much these days

Pretty excited for Game 4 tonight.

What about Jeremy Roenick getting emotional last night. That was special.  8-)

What a great series. These two Americans earned it! (That's right Jaimoe, Toews played some high school hockey in Minnesota, like Crosby, he's a Minnesotan, even if he did play his college at North Dakota  ;))

I'm SOOOO happy for Hossa and the boys to close it out in Philly.
I don't know if we could of won a game 7.

I can't believe Taterbug said the following: " I'm SOOOO happy for Hossa and the boys to close it out in Philly."

Happy for Hossa above the rest of the boys? Why single that one-year free agent opportunist eye-gauging puke jumps from team to team faster than a cheap hooker working door-to-door at a Philly motel. I didn't like seeing that immature jerk Kane hoist the Cup either.

I do like the Hawks though.

I was marginally pulling for Philly mainly because I like some of their players more: Briere, Carter, Gagne and Richards. I like the core of the Hawks quite a bit, especially Captain Serious (Toews), Sharp, Bolland, Byfuglien, Seabrook, Sopel and Keith. I love Quennville too.

The Hawks win has actually shed a fresh light on the Leafs ineptness, who now take over the Cup drought record (1967). It's all the media and Leaf fans have been talking about today, pushing the impending G20 and G8 Toronto summits aside a little. BTW, Toronto is in the process of being locked-down like a Soviet war zone. Fun times. At least I can ride my bike to work, but right behind my building is the beginning of the G20 zone. It's like living in a foreign country where I need ID to move around.

I like Hossa,  I don't see it the same way you do. He did sign  12 year deal wit the Hawks so I don't think he's jumping anywhere.  I don't think they could have won without Him.  I singled him out because he had the biggest monkey on his back, his third consecutive chance to win it all and he finally did.

He's a talented role player; he's no leader. I think the Hawks will regret the big contract they gave him, especially because he's no spring chicken in hockey terms. Kane, Sharp, Keith and especially Toews were the key players, but Hossa did have a good final, especially because the 2nd line was more useful given the top lines on both teams cancelled each other out somewhat.

I'm a diehard Bruins fan and I hate what Bourque did - leave the Bruins only to go to a team with the best chance of winning. This may be cool in the NBA or MLB, but it isn't the hockey way. Bourque has little honour though. He also thumbed his nose at playing for Team Canada over most of his career, even after  Yzerman and Gretzky would beg him to suit up for various Canada Cups and World Cups.

I hear ya!  I can't imagine what was going thru Hossa's mind when that puck deflected off his stick on it's way to scoring the tying goal for the Flyers.  I imagine the words, "NOT AGAIN!" popped up in his head.  But the Kaner came to Hossa's rescue on a sweet goal to win the cup in OT for the Hawks.  Nice to see Hossa being the first one Toews handed the cup off to.

Did anyone happen to notice that Kane goal was eerily similar to Crosby's goal to beat the US in OT to give Canada the gold medal?  Kane made mention of how sweet it was to make a similar goal on the winning end in a post game interview.

Lastly, nice to see Philly fans continiuing to show why they are the least sportsmanlike and most despised fans in all of sports.  From booing Santa Clause to cheering Michael Irvin laying motionless on the carpet at the vet.  And now you can add booing at the presentation of the Cup to the Hawks.  I guess the word class just doesn't exhist in Philly fan's vocabulary.  Made watching the Hawks clinch the cup on Philly ice all the more sweeter!!!  ;D

What a Parade and rally today for the Blackhawks. An estimated 2 million people were there.

Duncan Keith, One of my favorite players. He asked the crowd if they new of a good dentist.

One of my brother's best friends brother I think is going to get drafted high. He played for the Omaha Lancers. I've been watching the 08 and 09 drafts on the NHL network. That and George Lopez. I hope the Wild take a Minnesotan this year, and actually keep him!

We traded for the rights to Hamhuis with Philly. He was probably the D-men I wanted the Pens to get the most, but thought we didnt have a chance after Philly got his rights. Looks like Philly and him couldnt come to an agreement, so they traded his rights, hopefully Shero can figure out a way to sign him. I think he'll get it done.

Also, seeing players born in the 90's get drafted makes me feel really old.

Zbynek Michalek and Paul Martin in the Burgh. Im liking this. Sad to see Gonchar go, but he was worth 5.5mill/yr for 3 years at his age. We get 2 very good defensive Dmen, and I think Martin has more offensive ability than most people think.

Id still like to see a winger with some scoring ability come here, but I thought D was a bigger need. Dont have the cap space now really for any sort of decent winger, but maybe a trade will be in the works to create some space

Anyone ever watch the film, Pond Hockey? I finally got to see today on the NHL network. It was pretty good. It makes me wanna attended.

Either Bob or Laraque are the toughest all time. However, Bob was a good player when he was used as a non-enforcer. Remember the playoffs when he replaced an injured Yzerman back in the early `80s? He was incredible. I`m not shocked Bob passed. Surprised? Yes, but not shocked. His heart took a pounding from all the drugs and the damage was done long after he cleaned himself up. Terrible news though. Stay in school kids.
