Tonight's game made me start to get angry about the first 2 games. After being down 0-2 and with how Philly came back, I was convinced we werent winning this series, and I just shrugged off the last game because I thought it was over anyway. After watching this game tonight, I think we could be up 3-1 just as easily as Philly is, and Im pissed the Pens dug themselves in such a hole.

With as bad as Fleury and our D has looked, Philly's has been worse for the most part. And Jesus, Mary, and Joseph do I hope they scratch Martin again for the rest of the playoffs.

;D well it was an elimination game.  Someone please explain to me what is happening in this series.

Hey Jaimoe.  While I get the general sense of why Vancouver is "viewed differently" why such vitriol?  I'm just fascinated by this inter-province disdain.

Do either the Pens or the Flyers know what the word defense is?

What is the record for goals scored in a 7 game series?  I'm guessing this Pens/Flyers series is getting pretty damn close to that mark after just 4 games?!   :o

I think they got a better shot at the record for total penalty minutes in a series ;D

Hey Jaimoe.  While I get the general sense of why Vancouver is "viewed differently" why such vitriol?  I'm just fascinated by this inter-province disdain.

British Columbia and in particular Vancouver-area people historically hate all things Ontario and in particular Toronto (biggest city in the country's economic hub etc...). Generally and stereotypically-speaking, Vancouver has a laid-back, smug, arrogant, we live in the best part of the world, mentality. These facts were driven home when I worked the Vancouver Winter Olympics. The rest of the country hates Toronto too (specifically Montreal), but many secretly want to live here, especially folks from smaller towns. The hate is actually more of a topic for a historical, political and/or geographical thesis. Hey, the fans of the Leafs and Bruins hate Montreal, but with total respect. Toronto doesn't hate the rest of the country; it's one-sided.

The Canucks are the embodiment of the city as a whole. Smirky, whining, dirty-playing conspiracy-thinking victims. Everytime the Canucks lose a contentious game or series, they cry "conspiracy". Look it up. There's been so many articles written in newspapers across the country recently regarding why the country hates Vancouver. The infamous LA Kings tweet spoke the truth.

Earlier in the game they showed that through the first 3 games it already was I think 3rd  or 4th highest through 3 games, witch included 5 game series before they went to 7. If this series can last a few more games (I hope) it should go down as one of the highest scoring ever.

BTW, I'm no Flyers fan by any means but I loved the shirts they handed out to the fans that said, "Guess What?  We Don't Like You Either!"   ;D

I wouldn't be surprised if that becomes the city's tourism slogan.

Jeeeez, the Western Conference semis are looking bruuuuutal entertainment-wise. Four of the most defensive teams in history, euck.

Hoping Philly just destroys everyone the rest of the way, with Giroux breaking multiple records en route to a Cup and Conn Smythe.

I'm a fan of that scenario, but the Rangers (if they advance) scare me. So does Washington's goalie, to be honest.

The Sharks-Blues series had some exciting games. I hope they go through and LA can really play entertaining hockey of the physical variety. If Boston or Philly make it to the Final, I hope its with LA.

It will be a tough series, but I think as long as the winner gets out of it healthy (or at least their top handful of players all healthy), they will be the team that makes it out of the East.

Well, it wasnt a tough series but I still stand by this and think Philly makes it out of the East. What a terrible game sunday, we deserved to lose. If Caps, Panthers, and Sens end up all advancing I will be even more pissed. It would be so wide open for Philly.

Now that the Pens are done, GO BLUES!!!

CAPS are due for a clutch game 7 win right Jaimoe?  Looking forward to this one.  Until the Isles are relevant again, Let's go CAPS!

Ovie has been terrible and the Caps have been picked-up by their role players and some unbelievable goaltending. I hope the Bruins find a way to score some goals. I hate to admit this, but I may have to stream this game on my laptop. My wife doesn't want to watch hockey tonight. Divorce proceedings are in order.
