QuoteI think Lemieux could still play and when they show him during, IMO it looks like he's thinking "WTF are these noobs doing, I need to get down there and own once again"

He'd at least still be sick on the PP
That's a bit of a reach.

Maybe Jagr's mom could become there enforcer

I know that both Pittsburgh and the Detroit suburbs are buzzing today. I can tell you all of Canada is excited about tonight... and I feel bad for Roy Halladay's start tonight for the Jays against Florida - I doubt 10 thousand will be there and the TV ratings will be the lowest of the year.

Go Pens.

Im a little nervous about tonight after Game 5, but I cant wait for this. Just like the last game, I dont think I will even be able to actually enjoy it because I'll just be tense and glued to every movement the whole time.

That said, I dont think Fleury, Crosby, or Malkin has had a big game or a great game yet, and I think at least 1 shines tonight and we become the first team in awhile to win a Game 7 on the road.

Fleury certainly has to play better than he has any other game in Detroit though.

Do any of you US hockey fans watch CBC's Coach's Corner? If so, what do you think when Don does a tribute of the latest dead Canadian soldier fighting in Afghanistan at the end of his segment? Cherry tells folks who he or she was and where they are from, names their immediate family and tells us where they were stationed and how they died. Cherry ends up breaking down most of the time - off camera - but I love this. Don really lost it in Game 6's Coach's Corner. The soldier died from a Taliban land-mine. He was the only son of a single mother.

Don is the only public figure in North America that shows real emotion regarding deaths in the Afghanistan war on a weekly and sometimes nightly basis. Sure it's not sports, but Don is a big supporter of the troops - and the US troops too - and they all love him right back. For some reason, emotion gets lost in all this madness, but not with Don.

The only time they ever air Cherry here is when NHL Network shows HNIC broadcasts.

Too bad.

Hey, here's the last Coach's Corner. I think you'll enjoy it, and the ending tribute is what I described. If folks don't feel anything after it, there's something wrong with you:

No, I haven't, but that's awesome that he does that, and cares so much. I rarely get a chance to see him, but every time I do, I love him.

That's special, and really cool he makes a point to honor them the best way he can. He speaks with emotion talking about hockey, and it's not fake. The part when he gets choked up, just shows that when he talks he's very real.  Very cool!

Hey Jaimoe - thanks for posting.  Sometimes we can all lose sight of what is truly important.

(Congrats Capt.!)

I knew there was going to be some man-crying. If you're doing some man-crying, I think we can officially say you're a HUGE hockey fan.  I'll respect Crosby only because he's a Minnesotan. June 12th and hockey is officially over, why does it have to go into summer? That drives me crazy.
