Yeah Ruckus, kinda wishing I was home right now.  Got to a few games earlier in the summer at OPCY, and when I was out here in the spring I even got to see them in Anaheim which was cool, but now is the time to be there.  I got the MLB.tv package for the rest of the season so I can at least watch, and that Yankee series the crowds looked awesome, best I've seen in years.  Great that you can take advantage of that pricing and show some support, they'll need it.  They are hanging in there though, one way or another, even Endy Chavez helped us pull out that finale in OAK.

Go O's...

Yeah the crowds for the 4 game set were great.  The Thursday and Saturday games sold out and the Friday and Sunday ones were over 40,000.  The Thursday game was at least 90% O's fans and the other three were majority O's fans as well.  That was a huge deal here.  Even when the Yankee fans tried chants, they were immediately drowned out.  That was a long time coming.

gotta love the O's 1992 throwback pricing for weekday games to end the season.  sadly even with their season, the park has not been filling up for matchups with the likes of the Rays, White Sox, Jays etc.

Just snagged a bunch of lower level club seats down the left field line for 9 bucks a pop for next Monday that are good for both games of the doubleheader against the Jays

the throwback prices are fantastic, although, i went to the o's vs. rays game and i asked the concessions if beer was throwback price too, but they sternly said no.  i am headin down again next week for the game on wed (and maybe a game during the boston series); i wanted to go to the twi-night game monday, but the gf would hate 6+ hours of baseball.

the o's are 14-2 in extra inning games now, winners of 14 straight...

and how about teagarden... in a18-inning game, buck pinch-hits a .152 batter and the guy comes through again.  he has 7 hits this year, 8 RBI's, and two game winning hits.

now bundy gets the call-up, hope to get the kid some work in late inning relief.

Even being in PST that was a long game last night! I was up till 1am glued to the game.  They pulled it out again.  This O's team is just nuts, just a hodgepodge of players that finds a way to win.  Someone different every night.

Bundy...

So cool to hear O's fans in here.  I fell asleep on the couch some time during the 13th inning and finding out the score in the morning gave me such extra pep in my step all day.

Colonel Saunders>King Felix

The O's with another crazy extra inning win!  Beat King Felix no less.  No matter what happens from here on out, this was one special Orioles team.  The way they win, the players they win with, 30+ years watching baseball and have never seen anything like it.

So maybe Bundy pitches his first game in Fenway, that would be something as well.  Can't underestimate those Sox, they'll be looking for payback for last year...

As if my anxiety can run any higher.  To my Braves loyalists (darkglow) good luck against the midwest evil empire.

Everything says the O's are toast tonight from the pitching matchup to experience to home field advantage.  But with the weight of the world on the Rangers,  I feel real good about tonight!

The Rangers have been a trainwreck over the last week and a half of the season.  Can they right the ship for one game?  I have my doubts!

Good luck to your O's tonight Ruckus!

Hey thanks bud!  I should be home from work in time for midway through the first game.  Throwing an O's party at the home and its gonna get rowdy!

I didn't know baseball was still going on because all I hear about is the end of the Red Sox season.

Good luck tonight Rob.  I'm pulling for the O's.

As far as the Sux go, I with you there too. I didn't even have the heart to rub it in this year to my friends who are Sux fans.     Couldn't have happened to a better team for me, and I'm sure there are plenty of fans who wish the same fate for my Yanks.

My brain says my O's are very unlikely to win this game, but my brain would have told me it was impossible we'd be in the playoffs at all.  Go O's!

Terrible, terrible infield fly call in the Braves/Cards game, but even worse reaction by the fans. I hope the rest of the league stays classy, and we don't see this kind of thing become common place in our sports stadiums.

Never expect less from ATL fans, the worst.  Was a bad call though, but couldn't happen to a better franchise.

There are no words.  All day on local sports talk yesterday, Buck was being second guessed for his decision to start Saunders.  Ha!  Questioning Buck.  Bring on the Stanks!

As for the Atlanta call, it was correct but waaay too late.  The call had to be made in the air.

I have two problems with that call. One was it was waaay late, and the other is it wasn't made by the infield ump. I know the ball doesn't have to be on the infield to call that, but in a normal four ump game, it's his call. He didn't make it last night, so I have to figure he didn't think it was an "ordinary effort" type play. He had the best vantage point on if it was an "ordinary effort" play,IMO. The ball was 225 feet from home, hardly and ordinary infield fly to me.
